Would this have been a good villian in Toy Story 2 instead of Zurg?
I like the idea of an Anti-Buzz, but I adore the character of Zurg. He’s just so funny! So I’m pleased they stuck with Zurg. Nice find, pixarfan9099.
Oh that is cool, but I do like Zurg more…I wonder if he ever appeared in The Buzz Lightyear animated series?

I have two of these guys, and I remember wondering if he’d appear in TS2 before it came out. But Zurg is a better character I think, although it would’ve been funny if Anti-Buzz did everything opposite Buzz…
He did (not exactly like this, but more of an evil alternate universe Buzz with a beard). I prefer Zurg myself, but Anti-Buzz would have been cool for that video game sequence.

I read somewhere that the Anti-Buzz toy was only created because Zurg wasn’t shown in Toy Story.

An alternate version was, but it was Buzz with a sport coat and a little beard.

The Toy Story 2 Anti-Buzz was made to be one of Zurg’s henchmen.
I dunno. I think i’d want a more creative name than Anti-Buzz first of all. Between the 2 of them though, I much prefer Zurg. Zurg is funny and it just makes sense for Buzz to go after his arch enemy, rather than an evil duplicate of himself. I do remember him from the animated series, but I dont remember him being called Anti-Buzz.
anti buzz is cool but i cant see Zurg being replaced by him. anti buzz almost seems kind of imposter like.
Doesn’t seem like an Anti-Buzz to me, more like Robo or Mecha Buzz.
