Every since Marvel was purchased by Disney, I’ve been seeing articles about Marvel’s characters appearing in Disney parks. I love Marvel. The 90’s X-Men cartoon is my favorite show of all time. But going to Disneyland wouldn’t be the same for me if I see Marvel characters in the park. The latest thing I’ve read was about Tomorrowland being turned into Stark Expo, like in Ironman 2. Would just an attraction in Tomorrowland be ok? Or do you think turning the whole thing into Stark Expo would be cool? I can’t imagine a superhero roaming around in the same area as a princess. It would take away from the magic of Disneyland for me. A Six Flags park, or Island of Adventure are the best places for those kinds of characters to be IMO.
As long as they are only at the Hollywood studios its cool. I’ve been to WDW six times I’ve never really seen a walk around Marvel character yet.
The only superheros I’d like to see at Disney Parks is the Incredibles.
No, please no Marvel in my Disney…
Well, I’ve never been to a Disney park, so I don’t really care that much, but if I ever DO get the desire to go to a Disney park, and I see Spiderman, Batman, and Ironman there, I will rage.
Tomorrowland turned into Stark Expo? NO. JUST NO. I hope that was just a rumor, because that would be taking Walt Disney’s Epcot, swallowing it, throwing back up and then repeating it. I love superheroes and wouldn’t mind seeing an attraction there, but please. Have some friggin respect.
I’m not sure how I feel about that. It’s odd, but I just…I don’t know.
Only if it were a small portion. I enjoy comic book superheroes, but it’s already a pretty weird mix…
I have to admit I wouldn’t really like to see too much of the marvel characters in the parks if any of them at all. For me Disney will always be mickey mouse and the gang and the princesses etc. I love the classic cartoon animation but of course they’ll want to include as many characters as possible in the parks to cater for people’s needs. Then again I suppose it’s how popular they are (I still can’t believe they got rid of Flynn Rider - would’ve loved to meet him ) and if kids want to go running up to meet their favourite action hero they may not care whether the character really fits in with the “theme” of the surroundings.
They could probably like make a small area specifically for it, but not with a prominent presence and hopefully not with wandering characters. I mean, Universal already has Spiderman, right? I think that they shouldnt do it but if they do, they dont need to be like in your face with it.
I really don’t want them. They just do not mix with Disney for me. There’s Universal for all the superhero stuff, and there’s Disney for the magic. I’ll let you guys know if I spot any when I’m there, 12 days until WDW!
