Tower right next to the window and the picture to the right is that Remy?

I wonder if these were put in

as references to their upcoming film :smiley:

If your Pixar, you were developing Ratatouille when Cars came out. My guess is they used the in-work

stuff as a prop! :smiley:

Yeah, I think JV did mention this little fact some time ago. I

noticed the Eiffel Tower reference myself, but that little “blob” in the corner of the picture never

caught my eye until now.

I noticed the

Eifle Tower the very first time I saw Cars. I always thought it was really neat that they fit a picture of the

Eifle Tower into a traffic cone-shaped frame. But for some reason I never made the connection that that was a

reference to Ratatouille. :laughing:

I kind of see how the picture on the right looks like Remy (sitting up on

his hind legs), but it looks too blocky to be a rat. Maybe that was an early rendering of him. Or it could just

be the quality of the screenshot. I should get out my DVD and look at that shot myself.

Anyway,

I never

noticed this. Maybe it’s 'cause Cars is one of the newer films and I haven’t watched it a bazillion times

(workin’ on it) but I usually notice these sorts of things.

Honestly, I never thought it was an Effel

Tower in Lightning’s room. But you got me thinking there. I would’ve never guessed.

This could be it!!! I think you’ve hit the jackpot!!! There

was actually something on Upcoming Pixar once, it’s in the archives, where Luxo Jr. asked us to point out any

references to Pixar films that occured during Cars, and I think he mentioned that.

Truthfully, I would suspect that there would be some other referece to Ratatouille other than

the effel tower In lightning’s hotel room.

admit, the effel tower in the Lightning pic looks too straight. The real tower is curved at all the corners.

It might not even be an effel tower. it could be one of

those oil towers that people see in oil rich sites.

I think this is a little off topic. After all, we are talking about a hint of Ratatouille in Cars, not the

entire cameos and trivia on it right?

Ya that’s how I took it, I figured they were hinting

Ratatouille, int he movie.

Now if a car makes a cameo in Ratatouille that would be awesome, like have

Luigi & Guido be tourists in France or something :slight_smile:

If they were going to be tourists of France,

then they wouldn’t be named Guido and Luigi will they? It sounds to italian.
