Anyone see the office this week?

Lots of toy story references. A Woody doll was actually part of the plot. Michael Scott threw Holly’s Woody in the trash out of jealousy of her new boyfriend, then it became this whole thing where they try to figure how who threw it away, which lead to a funny moment where Kevin puts out the theory that Woody was alive and got in by himself. Did I mention it also got covered in sandwich scraps? Holly also said her kids, (sorry if I’m off here, my memory is fuzzy on the details) never seen any of them so they watched all 3 in one night. Michael also said the best character was Andy’s mom, because without her these movies wouldn’t have happened.

Ehh, you have to see it to fully understand, I don’t exactly have the episode in front of me. The point is the office has given Pixar shutouts before, but never to this extent I don’t think. it was pretty amusing.

Oh and for anyone wondering, the Woody was not a TSC one. kinda wish it was, but maybe not if it was going to get covered in tomatoes blue cheeze and whatnot. haha

Edit: oh, and there was something about Randy Newman too, but I can’t remember what was said.

That sounds really funny! I don’t really watch the office, but if theres something Disney/Pixar/Toy story involved, I’ll watch it just for that

Oh god that episode was so classic cringe-worth on so many levels, particularly the psychotic kamikaze war monger Dwight. And I loved the Toy Story references on the show too.

I have a feeling that they specifically chose the older Disney Store Exclusive version because they needed a Woody that looked somewhat ugly. Having a TSC version would be way too realistic and probably extremely unsettling for some viewers, particularly myself.

WOW. The one time I forget to record The Office, and this happens? I suck!

Anyways, that sounds totally amazing. Do you remember the name of the episode?

Classy Christmas 1

hahah! That was great!

Time to check out Hulu.

That’s exactly what I’m doing is it Classy Christmas?

Cool. I don’t watch The Office, but that sounds really interesting.

Just finished watching. It was pretty funny. I stopped watching shortly after season 6 aired

Sounds hilarious. Did they use the 1995 one? I’d rather they did that, because that one actually has its place in pop culture.

That would’ve made the most sense, but no it wasn’t. It was the Disney Store Exclusive Woody here

Thanks so much for the tip, Kyle. Really neat that they referenced it.

For those who haven’t seen it yet, here’s the links to Hulu.

hulu.com/watch/199585/the-of … s-p1-so-i0
hulu.com/watch/199669/the-of … s-p1-so-i0

It’s in two parts, hence two links.

EDIT: Had to replace the link because it didn’t gave me the wrong one, so it just directed to a “Video not availiable” page. Let me know if it doesn’t work.

Thank you for the link OneEyedBart95! I’m going to watch it right now!

I just got through watching it. That was the first episode of “The Office” I’ve ever seen, and I loved it!

Same, kinda, here too.

It’s the first full episode i’ve ever watched, and I really enjoyed it too. I’ve heard a lot about the show, and i’ve been wanting to watch, but I’ve never had the chance.

I feel pretty bad for Woody :frowning:. He had coffee spilled all over him on purpose. He is a living person after all.

“Why are we disregarding the Woody Came to life theory?”

lol, I loved this episode, it was reallly great. Dwight is so awesome haha.

I love it when random shows make obvious PIXAR references. <3

Yep, and that’s the cool thing about the Office, this isn’t their first time mentioning Pixar films. Michael’s a huge fan!
