Ok…

so… fun story here.

I’ve been thinking for some time about starting an aquarium but had never acted on

it. Friday, I went to the fair and spent my last dollar just for fun to play the fish game. I won on my first

throw.

So I brought Nemo (his name naturally) home and put him in a jar. Figuring Nemo needed a nicer

place to live I decided to go ahead and start my little aquarium and headed off to the pet

store.

Ironically, the bigger tanks were actually cheaper than the smaller ones. So I got a big tank for

Nemo and did it up with Incredibles decorations. We also have a place inside that we call Mt. Wannahockalugie.

So naturally Nemo needed some friends. Last night I went out and bought Marlin, Dory, and a bottom feeder named

Jaques.

So all was well and then it happened. This morning I woke up and was shocked to discover that

Marlin is actually Coral and I’ve got about 20-30 little babies swimming around my tank! LOL

So yeah

I’ve got quite a little brood and project on my hands. When I finish the tank and get some pictures later on

I’ll post 'em. 'Til then I’m just hanging out and enjoying my Nemo clan. =)

That sounds awsome!!

One of

the pet shops near to where I live set up a sea water display with little clow fish and a huge pink starfish.

When I asked them if they were gonna getthe othe Nemo fish they looked at me as if I were crazy… oh well,

their loss…

Haha – that’s hilarious.

It’s rather hard to tell the gender of fish, with the exception of

various colorations and unique behaviors. Seems as if you experienced it first-hand. :laughing:

My dentist

also has a large aquarium packed with fish: a clownfish, a regal blue tang, a yellow tang, and (I think) a

cleaner shrimp. She also plays Finding Nemo on her tv screen every once in a while,

so the setting is perfect – heheh. :wink:

ROFL ! that’s so funny ! now u can name 1/2 of them

coral jr and the other 1/2 marlin jr.

now go by another marlin ! he he . :laughing: :laughing:

That’s so funny heheh. Don’t try to flush them down the toilet, now.

Actually, I

believe clownfish can change their gender. So, perhaps Coral was Marlin once. You need a Peach though. :slight_smile:

what size of tank did you get? There’s a good chance the other fish/mother will eat the fry, too - if they’re

goldfish especially XD they will hoover up anything, so check out some stuff online if you don’t want an easy

out to being the father of 30 :wink:

hehe - all 4 fish are different types but I went back to the store that I got them

from and got some advice. Turns out their fairly self-sufficient and really good at hiding so they’ve been

doing pretty well. Sometimes I’ll come in and see maybe 4 and think uh oh - but then later on I’ll count about

20 hovering in a corner sneaking a snack. I don’t expect to keep them all but I do hope to get a few little

ones out of it. =)
