This is something to go along with my complete crossover fanfic: Super Spy Wizard. If you want to get a better idea of what I’m talking about, please feel free to read it!
I made this thread for just a personality type question.
So, would you rather be…
SUPERHERO
Character reference: Violet Parr (Incredible) from The Incredibles
Advantages: You can have your own unique superpower, different from most others. The superpowers are permanant and lifelong, usually, and can’t be easily taken away. Superpowers may come in really handy whether you’re saving the world or doing everyday things, as long as you’re careful to remain discreet in public. Plus, you get to wear a really cool supersuit!
Disadvantages: You only have one or two unique powers out of many, so they may not come in useful in every situation. Example: flight might not be the best power to help disarm a bomb or something. Also, sometimes enemies may defeat you with technology. You may constantly have unexpected missions that ruin your schedule, and you may be pretty busy a lot of the time if you’re in the superhero business. Also, have you seen how much damage could be accidentally caused?
Requirements: You must always be ready for action, make sure you have plenty of energy to run away when necessary (or to stay awake, at least, during emergencies) and probably it would be great if you have a keen eyesight and sharp hearing.
SECRET AGENT
Character reference: Carmen Cortez from the Spy Kids trilogy
Advantages: There are many new inventions all the time, especially spy devices. That means you are requred to handle so many cool things that not that many people even know of. A great variety of gadgets are all yours to use to make your mission easier. Microscopic spy cameras, acid crayons, stop watches with internet access, calculaters, and so much more! And the agency trusts you with all that hi-tech stuff. You’ll always have enough backup. How awesome is that?
Disadvantages: Of course, because there are many gadgets, that means it’s a big responsibility to have. You must often make sure that they are working well, and have enough power to support you on your mission. Sometimes, this will be done for you, but when you’re on a mission, you must always be prepared. A slight malfunction risks a lot. You have to understand how everything works before you use them (that’s a lot to memorize!). Not to mention, gadgets not only get glitches but could also be stolen by the enemy to use against you. You must be careful not to depend too much on technology. You could also be banned from using them if you didn’t do your job well and got fired.
Requirements: Fearless, technology-smart, quick-thinking, strong (in case you might need to carry a lot of equiptment), and careful when handling things!
WIZARD
Character reference: Alex Russo, from Wizards of Waverly Place
Advantages: You get to relax more than superheroes or spies- no urgent mission to get on to. You get plenty more powers- with a whole bunch of spells to use. You can pack light if you want to bring the magic with you- just a wand and a spell book. You can even conjure up your own spell- the possibilites in magic are endless. You can have tons of enjoyment with magic powers.
Disadvantages: If you have siblings, only one of you may keep your magical ability as an adult. Your powers may also be suspended from you if you use them too unwisely. After regular school, you still have to take wizard lessons and have wizard homework. Spells must be memorized, and they may backfire very easily, especially spells you made up. You have to be careful when making up spells-
everything you say is taken literally. And you can’t get everything as you wanted- there are still rules when casting spells. (example, you can’t bring something to life for too long- once it develops emotions it will stay alive). Also, you have to constantly stay out of trouble!
Requirements: Good memorization, wisdom, must be good at coming up with excuses if caught with magic, self-control, and a heck of a lot of responsibility
What sounds the most fun or cool?
