Well, yeah, now I’ve learned to ignore them. Not really scared of them, but I am bothered by them and sometimes wish they would just get lost. Guess I better get used to it.
If you lived with the fights my parents had had, you’d be shocked. Though, now, I’m used to it.
No, I know I kinda sound like a snob with the whole horror movie issue, but you gotta come out of the comfort zone some day and well, be more open-minded with this particular genre. I’d admit that half of the things they do there is some pretty sick stuff, but just try and enjoy it, keep your mind open, and well, be entertained.
ohh…don’t worry. I’ve seen some pretty scary stuff.
There was one movie dad watched…
This scifi movie had a group of adventurers in a sub exploring a deep cave. The cave was unknown to them full of blood sucking creatures that looked like big worms. A type of fungus also came aboard the ship but it was green and whenever it attached itself onto someone it literally ate the person inside out. The worms also ate the person alive…man i was scared for the rest of the day and the next week.
Everyone died except for two people…Oh there were also little creatures that reminded me of evil chipmunks. They wiould jump into people’s mouths and eat their throats…
For the longest time, my biggest fear was girls. I was always shy around them. Now that I am older, my fear has shifted to a new thing: death. I hate it when I see someone die, or hear someone dying because I know one day, someone I love and even I will die eventually.
Yes, death is always a scary thing. Even as a horror fan myself, I couldn’t help being gripped by the horrifying thought of death at times, the wonder of our status upon its arrival… the consequences that awaits. Gnarly.
It’s not like I’m enjoying the suite life here either. Guess I tried to look at the bright side as I was typing just now. Nevertheless, death is a mysterious state - one that, IMO, would probably be much worse than anything my life could offer.
Those nuclear warning sirens freak me out, or anything that sounds similar. Like, if I hear one in a movie or TV show. And nuclear war, or the threat of it. I think it’s because, say, if I found out there was going to be a nuclear bomb, I wouldn’t even be able to drive anywhere since the damage is so widespread there would be no point trying to get away from it.
I also can’t watch scary movies. It’s not that I am actually scared of them… it’s just that I start to feel physically sick. It’s all because my mum let my sister, friend and I watch all three of the Child’s Play movies when I was 11. Not a good idea. Plus, I’ve always wondered why people would want to see someone being hacked to bits and stuff.
Yeah, I know. I’m not saying thay anyone enjoys watching that sort of stuff is “sick” or “weird.” It’s just that I don’t understand it. And yes, most people who like watching gory movies have standards, and they would know it’s not real, which is part of the whole appeal, I guess. If they enjoyed watching footage of people being murdered that is from real life, well, that would be a lot different.
