One thing that freaks me out is my sister’s Helen Keller model (let me explain first). It looks nothing like the real person Helen Keller: it’s a can with white fuzzy material coating it, with solid blue circles for eyes, a red shape for lips, and brown thread for hair, eyebrows, and a line of brown thread for a nose. And it keeps on staring. Not as if it’s blind, but as if it’s evilly glaring with that crooked smile. Everything is glued down firmly, but the eyebrows are slanted and the smile remains. And it’s like staring right at me. Once my sister found out it freaks me out, she decided to keep it longer to torment me.

Guess when I go out for the party on Halloween, we can just store the candy inside that can and leave it out for trick-or-treaters, and they’d be scared looking at it in the eye.

Me? I don’t like things with scales (lizards, snakes, all reptiles), I don’t like heights and I don’t like blood.
CoCoMeister: I’m planning to, hehe. What creeps me out, though, is that it seemed like I’m the only one who sees the spookiness of its appearance. My parents and everyone else I’ve shown called it “cute”, and my mom accused me of making fun of my sister’s work. 
She didn’t know I was serious. Maybe it’s staring evilly only at me.

Unfortunately, I can’t for now. I think I still need a special program to post pictures. And also, my sister will know if I took a picture of it- and she wouldn’t like it, and also suspect me because I find its look disturbing. So, you’ll just have to picture it in your head. (Also, maybe it wouldnt’ look disturbing to you, either- it sure didn’t bother everyone else I know in person so far. I think I’m the only one its staring at shudders)

Deep water…
like if I am in a pool at night and can not see the bottom or if I am swimming in the ocean and can not see the bottom, that bothers me.
I’m scared of the unknown. Stuff that I don’t understand that could know a lot about me.
Also, deep, clear water, because it makes you appear that your so high.
bugs, especially spiders
the hairy ones or the ones with long legs are … yucks
I have a couple friends who are terrified of bugs. They can’t ever touch one without freaking out. In face, they have a hard time trying to squish them.
The only things I’m really freaked out by are mirrors and elevators. Mirrors, because I’ve seen Poltergeist. Elevators, because I hate 'em. What if it shut down while you were in it, man?! shivers

On that same line, Mitch, I do have a bit of a thing about escalators. I always worry that I’ll badly time stepping onto the stupid thing and fall down it (if it’s a downwards escalator, which is by far the worst), so I try to avoid escalators as much as possible. The ones in the London Underground are horrible, jam-packed with people, and they’re so steep and fast.
lizardgirl - Ohhh, so you guys have those really steep escalators then, the ones with like a 75 degree incline or something? We have similar escalators at Universal Studios in California – lined with visitors and as sharp on the downhill as water slides.
Forget falling down the things, though. I’d be more worried about getting my clothes stuck in them. Did you ever watch this show called Rescue 911? (It was a show that chronicled real-life events of people who had endured dramatic experiences.) Well, there was one episode where this young boy got his sweater caught in an escalator on the way down, and he almost choked to death in the process. Ever since then I’ve been carefull to jump off of the escalator step that I’m on right before it reaches the top/bottom. (heh)

I recall the escalators in subway (or mono, I haven’t been there in years, I don’t know the train) stations in D.C. go on for minutes…even when you coming down to the station you can barely see the ground when you start.
Mitch- Okay, that hasn’t helped my thing with escalators. 
Our ones are not always steep, but some of them are just stupid, like especially the older ones in certain places like shopping centres. The worst thing is if the handrail is moving at a different speed to the steps! Then your arm ends up being dragged away from you.

Escalators: It’s always annoying, but funny, when you go to step on a moving step but then you are afraid of overstepping and falling down so you stand there for a while waiting to find one to step on. Elevators are far worse, though. I’m always worried that the doors will close on me, like if it’s an old elevator and the sensor is broken.
And trains and train tracks have always scared me a bit, because you can fall down the gap between the platform and the train. And also because it’s hard for a train to slow down easily if it’s coming towards you.
Wow! That seems fun!

It happens at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport…we have the same problem. Your arm goes like three feet faster then your feet do at the end.
