"Upcoming Pixar has grown quite a lot over the past few years, and the time has come to expand. I have started my final year of schooling and as this year is sure to be stressful, I may or may not have enough time for writing on Upcoming Pixar as I would like, so in light of this situation UP is now hiring.
UP is looking for someone to become it’s North American Correspondent. This position means that you will help out with the gathering and posting of news. Also, you get to head up the North American side of news, specifically posting about release dates of Pixar content in the theatre, on DVD etc. If you think you are up for the job, send a sample of your writing to thomas@pixarplanet.com and it will be reviewed by myself, Dash and PixarVixen. If you really want to be fancy, you could take a Pixar news story and write about it as if you were posting it on UP. The only requirement is that you live on the North American continent. This is not a paid position however, as the website is run off the goodwill and charity of the owner and financier, Dash.
Interesting. I could certainly get the job done in a decent and respectable fashion; however, the only hindrance to my applying for the position are for reasons similar to yours. My involvement in college classes, a volunteer program, and various other work-related fields may greatly limit the amount of time I would need to regularly contribute to the news section of the official Upcoming Pixar website.
I will ponder this a while, but I definitely cannot promise anything. Chances are I will not be able to apply, especially at this stage, but I will think about it nonetheless.
Can I nominate someone, maybe they’ll do it?
Ok, here it goes, as much as I enjoy reading Upcoming Pixar, there are other up and coming blogs that interest me. Although it’s name is not creative, … it’s writer MB1000 is. That blog has a whole new way of looking at Pixar news that I find refreshing and I think he should apply because he’d make a great addition to the UP team.
I’m too scared to apply. I’d have to get good at it, and keep to a schedule, which, I can tell you right now, is unfortunately near impossible for me at this time.
Forgive me if I sound pushy or whatever, but have you made your decision on this yet, and maybe second to that, have you narrowed it down to a certain number of members? Again, forgive me if I sound pushy. That’s not my intention. I’m just wondering is all.
