Art Jamz!

Hannahmation- Thank you  !

Haunt- Thanks, Haunt  !

Well, because I was able to finish early, I’ll post my work now.

This is one of the first time Violet and WALL-E meet. I know it would take a time machine to get them together (as The Incredibles was set in the 60’s or 70’s, and WALL-E was set 700 years into the future), but, hey, it’s Disney and Pixar  . Anything can happen  ! I’ve already posted this in my art thread, but I thought I’d post it directly instead of using a link. Hope you guys like it  !

I have said it before, and I’ll say it again. YOu always impress me with your artwork Vi.

Thanks, TSS  ! I’m really glad you liked it!

Time travel yo. It’ll be big one day.
A fantastic entry VP! I’m so happy to see people getting on board so quickly. It’s great that you guys are so motivated now.

Thanks Haunt  ! I’m happy to finally be taking part in a group activity. It makes me feel more like part of the Pixar Planet Family. I can’t wait to see what the other great artists of PP can come up with  .

Violet: That is a wonderful drawing! I love it!

Ok. Here’s a quick sketch for the current theme. I chose Russell meeting Remy! And I know Russell looks a bit off. I drew him almost all from memory. I used a photo reference for Remy.

That looks great Hannah! Russell does need a bit of work, but it’s from memory, so I understand. I can’t draw from memory to save my life, so don’t feel too bad. I’m excited to see the final product!

Violet Parr: I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again. That’s my favourite piece from you so far. Simply sublime.

Hannahmation: Haha, please don’t take this the wrong way, but it seems everyone drawing Russell and Remy nowadays! :stuck_out_tongue: ffdude and I have also done our interpretations of this most momentous of meetings… maybe we can turn this into the next big Internet meme!
Jibes aside, I like your take on it. The quote matches the picture perfectly!

Haha, never really hit me TDIT, but you’re right! XD It just fits so well! Kinda funny, but Remy was really fun to draw!

ffdude1906: Thanks! I don’t think there will be a final product though. It’ll more than likely just stay a sketch.

TDIT: Haha! I didn’t notice that until you said something. That’s kind of funny. I guess it is a meet up that just had to happen! And thanks.

Oooh, such a cool theme… and all the drawings that have been posted are awesome!!! I especially like Violet’s, though. It’s so darn cute, just the way she drew everything!!! <3

I actually did this a while back; it’s a crappy pile of sketches I did in my journal (with PEN hoooomygosh eww) titled Cars Meet Robots, and when I saw the title of this month’s theme I immediately thought of that sketch dump. So I hope you enjoy it for the humor at most, 'cuz the drawings are pieces of crap.

(Oh, don’t forget to click the image to enlarge it!)

TDIT: OMG, we should totally make that a new Internet meme! Who else is gonna jump on the bandwagon?! 8D

little chef

It looks really nice Hannahmation. Pretty neat on your decision to put two cute characters together. Really well done.

I thought that Cars/Wall-E crossover was brilliant and cute, little_chef. I think it makes a worthwhile entry into this contest. Simple and hilarious.

And we should so totally start a Remy/Russell meme!

Hannahmation Thank you  ! That Remy and Russell drawing is pretty awesome, itself  . Though it’s very simple, it was done with the utmost creativity. And the quote is excellent  ! That’s too funny! Great job  !

thedriveintheatre- Thanks for the compliment  . And, trust me, I don’t mind people repeating themselves with comments like that  . Great drawing, BTW!

little_chef_eva09- Thanks  ! And the “Cars Meet Robots” drawing is totally awesome  ! It’s very funny, and you were clever in using almost all quotes from the movie. It makes the characters seem more true-to-character. And I’ve gotta give ya props for being able to draw all those mechanical objects. As I can barely turn out a robot. And you put faces and personalities on them, to-boot. It’s awesome little chef  ! Awesome job!

Wow! These are all fantastic!
Nice theme.

Alrighty. Time for my lazy (or rather educationally exhausted) bones to get a new jam going. So let’s start!

This one’s theme is near and dear to me. Heck, it’s near and dear to many of us. I’m talking 2D animation! In honor of The Princess and the Frog’s rapidly approaching release date I think it’d be pretty sweet pixar characters and traditional animated character should share the screen. It’s 2D meets 3D!

Same basic rules as usually. There has to be at least one pixar character. There also has to be at least one traditional hand drawn character. They can be from any studio, though it’s safe to say a lot of us will be thinking disney (prove me wrong if you dare  )
So kids. Get drawing! I’m leaving this up until after the new year, so we have the holiday breaks to geek out.

Oh, and apologies all around for my random disappearance and lack of jamz upkeep. My film and classes have me running around like a mad woman. ^^;

~Haunt~

thewisecookiesheet- Thanks! Glad you liked the theme  !

Haunt- Ah, cool  ! Great theme! I think I’ve already got an idea for this. AWESOME idea! Glad I’ve got more time, though. Thanks for the update, Haunt  !

Haunt: Awesome new theme! That is probably my FAVORITE theme in this Art Jamz. I hope I can have enough time (and patience) to make one! I mean, I’ve come up with random crossovers like this all the time, being the Disney/movie geek I am, but once I settle down to start drawing I just blank out. I think I may participate in this one. I hope I don’t forget! BUt even if I don’t manage to participate, it’d be exciting to see what everyone else has come up with!!!

waves hand around like an idiot Question! By tradisional, do you mean that the animation had to be traditionally inked and colored, or can it be from the days of digitally painted 2D? Also, does it have to be a movie, or can it be a TV show/short,stuff like that?

^Traditional as in hand drawn. Ink and pen or digital color count under this. As for the non-film characters. I guess that’s ok. My initial idea was strictly film based, but who am I to curb the creative process. The choice is yours. The point above all else is have fun.
