Wow, an extra three hours, aaldawrogers? How long does a baseball game usually last? Glad to hear you had a great time, though!
a usual baseball game will last about 2.5-3.5 hours…depending on how fast paced the pitchers are…with any delays the game could take about 5-7 hours…
I wouldn’t believe this myself, but the Padres, who were horrible last year, are now the best team in the NL.
Ooh go Padres! I remember when I was little I decided that I would root for them if I lived in California.
i know…how did they do it…it isn’t like they signed really good players…they just got lucky with some rookies and newbies and found themselves in a really good spot…both the Dodgers and Rockies are having horrible years not to mention the D-Backs…the Giants are finally pulling it together but they have their hands full with the Padres and the still in pursuit Rockies and Dodgers…it will be close for playoff positions.
Al-Bob: Wow, you are quite the baseball fan are you?
Ay! That’s what I like to hear. Too bad they aren’t doing well this year. I can’t remember them running in third place for quite a few years. I know they are still continuing their sell out streak, but tickets are currently much cheaper and easier to get.
All this baseball talk really makes me want to go to the City and watch a Giants game. I know nothing about Baseball, it’s just so much fun rooting and eating unhealthy food, and hoping somebody hits the ball into the Bay!
My favorite MLB team is the Cleveland Indians, even though they stink. I hate the Yankees. But, really, who doesn’t?
love70ways - They are pretty good for a third place team. And especially with all of the injuries this season (if you didn’t see them, I posted them above). It is incredible. Nineteen different players, and a few of them have been placed on the disabled list multiple times and/or are out for the season.
ellie-jessie-eve - you should head to San Fran to see a game some time. At least you won’t have to see Barry Bonds anymore.
I do go to one game a year! Bonds or no Bonds, the Frisco stadium has the best hot dogs!
Yes i am, i actually predicted the Rockies winning the Wildcard in 2007 as well as the D-Backs in first the same year…it was quite surprising how much i thought would happen and did…
But otherwise yes i am a huge Baseball fan…the game requires so much skill in different areas that is outways any other sport in my opinion.
My favorite team is still Colorado even though i live in Arizona, was born in Arizona, and even though Colorado is having a HORRIBLE season…lol…
yeah, I tohught the Rockies (and dodgers) were gonna own the west, but hey, the Padres winning is actually an amazing boost for my city.
But on a brighter side, Jimenez and Carlos Gonzolez are bright stars in the Rockies.
Sorry the Red Sox swept you guys in 2007 Al-Bob. I was sure happy though!
My twin brother loves the red sox. His favorite player is Daisuke. But my favorite Red Sox Player is Josh Beckett.
The Star Swordsman - You did not say that his favorite player is Daisuke Matsuzaka. You did not say that. I did not read that. You did not type that. PLEASE say you didn’t type that.
faints in disbelief
Daisuke is my least favorite player on the Red Sox. I cannot stand Daisuke. I would trade him in a second. He cost the Red Sox over $100 million dollars. $102 million to be exact. And $50 million just to negotiate. I’m not even sure if Derek Jeter or Ichiro are worth that much money. No way Daisuke is. And he can’t produce!
No offense to your brother, but I can’t stand Daisuke.
As a true Boston Red Sox, I kind of agree with aaldawrogers. Daisuke just isn’t worth all the money or hassle. We should have used that money to keep Jason Bay around.
yah…one of my friends was too…we swept two teams and then got swept…it was fine for me…
Ha ha ha! Oh boy man, I didn’t realize you felt so strongly about that. Tha’ts deep dude.
but no, his favorite player is ichiro. but his favorite player in the Red Sox is Daisuke, or how he likes to call him: Dice-K!!!
My dad was telling me that there is only one team in the National League with a better record than the Red Sox.
Too bad we are in th toughest division in all of Major League Baseball
