Harley Quinn interests me in a sad sort of way. Poor deluded woman. Keeps getting abused but goes back to Joker ALL THE TIME. At first it annoyed me, expecially when I was younger, but now I just feel sorry for her. A relationship with Poison Ivy is better for her definitly. (I may be wrong but their relationship apparently can be taken in ANY direction really- platonic or not, and I think Poison Ivy is just a better match for her in any case).
Two-face actually interests me more than Joker because of his past with Batman really.
I also like Poison Ivy, but mostly because I think either platonically or not she’d be good for Harley. Even if she is… kind of mad about plants (hey I like plants too but… geez!)
Catwoman would be better if she wasn’t automatically a love interest. Ah well.
Killer Croc isn’t too bad either in some cases though I’ve only seen a little bit of him- too little gather a concrete opinion. He could be interesting.
Also like Mr.Freeze for his tragic situation. He’s also great to quote. He is an antagonist bent on revenge… and manages to be a GOOD character (not in morals, in the fact his motives almost make sense in a twisted way though at the same time they do not). A sympathetic almost realistic revenge antagonist (some duds but overall not bad.)
Mr. Freeze: I failed you. I wish there were another way for me to say it. I cannot. I can only beg your forgiveness, and pray you hear me somehow, someplace… someplace where a warm hand waits for mine.
Mr. Freeze: Tonight, I mean to pay back the man who ruined my life… our lives.
Batman: Even if you have to kill everyone in the building to do it?
Mr. Freeze: Think of it, Batman. To never again walk on a summer’s day with the hot wind in your face and a warm hand to hold. Oh yes, I’d kill for that!
Joker. In 1989, the best live action Superhero movie was born, and Jack Nicholson was and is amazing in it. Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson is one of the protagonist-antogonist pairs ever.
The Joker, quite an unfair post as it’s always going to be The Joker, better doing a best comic villains one or something, wiht Lex Luthor and Green Goblin etc, oh and Jack Nicholson’s Joker > Heath Ledger’s Joker
The Joker is great character. His life is so secretive which makes you think how could he have become so insane? Not only is he isane, he is hilarious. I loved watching episodes of Batman:TAS with him in it because of his mental sense of humor. He also has a great sidekick (Harley Quinn).
I really loved Arkham Asylum’s version of Killer Croc. He was huge, vicious, and an even bigger threat than Bane.
Well, I believe Nichoson is one of the greatest actors ever to walk this earth. But Heath’s Joker was pure brilliance. He not only stole the show, but he WAS the show!
Even though Heath Ledger’s performance was nothing short of brilliant, the Riddler has always been my favorite. However, the only reasons as to why that is are because, as a kid, a) I loved Jim Carrey’s portrayal of the character, and b) I love riddles. Lame reasons, really.
Oh you had to put in the Joker AND Harley and make this tough for me? I love Harley, she’s just awesome. But I went with the Joker because I just love that crazy guy. Mark Hamill’s Joker was the best! Nobody can do it like he can. And hearing Mark Hamill’s Joker laugh makes me wanna laugh too, every time I hear it.
I’m not sure who heres reads Batman comics (I’m actually a monthly subcriber to “Batman”). There are some exciting new villains, but the classics are the best. I couldn’t decide, they’re all great in unique ways.
I’d just like to say that Jack Nicholson is one of the greatest actors of an entire generation, this is true. However, his portrayal of the Joker is entirely unrealistic of the character. Nicholson reminds too much of the campy Adam West television series. He does not tap in at all to the inner madness that plagues the Joker. Nor does he express the Joker’s unique genius. I don’t understand how anyone could deny Heath Ledger of his perfectly brilliant performance of the greatest villain in comic book history. Jack Nicholson doesn’t hold a candle.
In each series the Joker has always been my favorite Batman villain.
Even in the live action versions he was the best, the actors also always get him just right. Catwoman would have to be my second favorite, she may also be a love intrest for Batman but she also counts as a villain. I loved the moves she did and stuff.
