- Pixar merchandise is pretty good
Why is it everything Pixar so beautifully constructs on screen can never be made very well in the toy department? I used to have some little plastic Tarzan figures that were well crafted and inexpensive. If I could find some of those it would be great. Sulley is especially hard to find, and I might never see a Carl Fredrickson. Anyway. Post if you’ve noticed this problem too. (does not apply to Toy Story toys which were pretty good)
Pretty much the same thing as this thread.

Which I’ll say again, Pixar movies don’t translate well into normal merchandise, and companies are always antsy because they don’t think the idea for the movies won’t sell. I don’t remember exactly (it’s in one of the Pixar history books) but they had a hard time or something getting Toy Story toys originally made, though after the movie became a big hit stores were flooded with it. And it’s a movie about Toys after all! It doesn’t take a genius to translate those characters into toys. Taking Carl and making a crotchety old man into an ‘action figure’ would be difficult. And Russels body is so large in comparison to his extremities that decent articulation is impossible.
Ratatouille did have some real neat looking cookware though. Wish I could have afforded some of it.
As Fett101 said, we already have a similar thread. Locking up.
