I used to be a bionicle fan, way durring the bionicle origins. I guess I kinda lost it.
As someone who’s been following the story since the beginning, I’ve known this for months. But to go a little more in detail for anyone reading, Mata Nui’s body as it turns out, contains the whole Matoran world, with the original island serving as a camoflage/sleep mask for when he landed on various planets when awake.
Just before Mata Nui was woken up (and after he had been revived), Makuta possessed the body before the soul could take control again. Mata Nui’s spirit’s been shoved into the Mask of Life, and the Mask of LIfe eventually lands in Bara Magna.
