So there we have it. I expected him to be a no name actor, but no complaints here, he sounds spot on so far.
Also in the video are some other casting news and the fact that they will be extending the time the double feature will be in theaters.
Just heard it, and thinking about it, his voice fits absolutely perfectly. I can’t believe I didn’t recognize it before, I kinda like Blake Clark (but his standup is kind of blah). I mean, I knew the new voice actor for Slink was perfect, but I should have recognized it. Kinda cool.
Yeah, i can’t believe I didn’t pick up on either, my favorite show of all time is Boy Meets World, and even as chet he sounded like Varney.
I hadn’t really heard of Blake Clark but now you mention Boy Meets World, Kyle, I do think I remember him…Either way, he sounds perfect so far, not out of place at all.
I might have seen him in a few movies and probably just don’t recognize his voice. Hmmm I don’t know, but he does sound dead on as the voice of Slinky.

Tried to find a more…light hearted scene where he got more lines but I didnt have much luck. he had some hilarious moments on the show.
Oh! He was on Home Improvement I believe. Haha, the minute I saw his face I knew exactly where I had seen him before.
Yeah, he’s in a lot of Adam Sandler films, his most major role in any movie I believe was as Drew Barrymore’s father (good role, I like his character) and yup, he’s the hardware store owner in Home Improvement. I also saw him in some other movie (I think it was Nothing to Lose) as a convenience store owner, but that’s it.
Regardless, he’s got the voice spot on, I think they did a good job of finding someone to fit the bill, and the fact that he’s a friend of his is interesting too. Good deal!
They indeed didn’t promise too much when it was announced that they found someone who sounds pretty much exactly like Jim Varney.
Slinky is one of my favourite TS characters, so I’m delighted to hear just how much Pixar lucked out with the casting of his new voice.

And hey, it is the guy from Home Improvement! So that’s what his name is.
I’m sure Blake will do a good job. I’ve seen his small roles but he sounds correct in the tiny bit we’ve seen.
