DrewsterHotRod- Well the only way to be able to get the characters bios is to find them in the ‘Find Cars Game’ I got bored of trying to find all of the characters so I quit before I got to Wingo Boost Snotrod, and DJ came up, so I’ll check that out for you ok? ~
lennonluvr9- Yeah, I know how you feel too sometimes
Fairy Odd New Yorker- I know I know, how it seems like it can’t get any better I thought that too, but then wow… the picture. There really is a difference, the quality of the picture and sound are just really beyond. and omg 10 dollars? wow lucky!
Oh and also you guys Ratatouille on Blu-ray is great too! [/b]
I played the Carfinder game and unlocked the boys but am having trouble with the bios page…when I go to read the bios, the player turns OFF…seems I need the latest firmware for the player…and I JUST got it last week!!! I am waiting for the upgrade disc in the mail. So if you get to them before me…could you tell me what it says about Boost and Wingo?
You know, honestly guys…this may make you feel better.
I predict that Disney will eventually release the bios and other bonus features in a regular dvd disk. It may take a while, but I think they’ll do it. I mean, it makes sense from a business point of view. Get people who have Blue-Ray (or who REALLY want the disk) to shell out top dollar for it. Then wait a few years. Then re-market it to people who are only willing to pay less.
That way, you get the best of both worlds. You get to milk Blu-Ray owners for their money. After all, they think this is the only way to get the material. But then later, you release it to everyone and a large number of people buy it and you get even more profit. If you released it on Blue-ray and regular dvd at the same time, everyone would buy the regular dvd for cheaper. So they didn’t do that. But I’ll bet they’ll want another shot at making money. Hence, in a year or so (or longer. Maybe something like a ‘5th anniversary special’) another release of the bonus material.
Blue-ray owners who shelled out a ton of money for the disks will feel cheated. But Disney won’t care. Why? Because they already got their money!
Trust a for-profit corporation to act like a for-profit corporation. Just be patient. It will come out sooner or later.
I actualy am sure Disney is going, and staying, with Blu-Ray for good, and a 10th anniversary Cars re-release is probable, but if they had an anniversary or special edition disk, it would be on Blu-Ray. Maybe (or maybe not) you’ll see some bio’s on a fan site soon, but that’s as far as I can see it go.
If Disney sticks with Blu-Ray, I’m going to sue them. And seriously, I’m not kidding. Okay, if nobody else sues them first, then I will. But I’m this close (||) to totally losing it with Disney. xD
Hopefully Pixar will remind them that it’s all about the movies.
Sue Disney?
For what?
How would that work.
They are a business, and that’s their business strategy, and I bet the people at Pixar back Blu-Ray (I know Brad Bird does) too, so why not sue them (jk)?
I’d like to see Disney stick with both Blue-Ray and regular dvd for a long time, at least until the prices of Blue-ray come down enough that it becomes mainstream. I think its really wrong of them to release something only on a medium that only rich people can afford.
Wow DHR, I wish I had that kind of money! I would love to buy a Blue-Ray just for Cars…but gee I can’t afford 500 dollars just for one movie!! The cost has got to come way down before I get one. I would if I could, but there’s this little thing called rent!!
