Same here. She is expensive, and will probably take my whole $20. But so worth it for jointed legs and the bow/arrow/quiver.
I was at The Disney Store the other day, and I managed to snap a few pics of the Brave merchandise with my phone.
A Merida plush will be at the top of my birthday wish list this year. They’re so adorable!
Thanks for posting those pictures^^, that Brave merchandise looks great.
OK, now that I’ve seen a photo of the Merida doll in that high a resolution, I like it even more than I did at first! Oh, she’s so cool! Though has anyone seen the DisneyStore “plush” doll? I like that the stuffed version has a great Pixar stylized look to her. It reminded me of some of the art for The Incredibles.
I also saw that DisneyStore has put out a bow and arrow set! It’s so tempting to buy it now… I have hair and eyes that are kinda like Merida’s, even though my hair’s not quite that red, and I don’t doubt that after I see Brave, I’m going to have the urge to pretend to be her in daily life. Yes, Pixar has that effect on me.
Aw, it looks great! I’m still hoping to get the Disney Store doll/figurine of her, it looks perfect. I saw it in person, but only had $1 at the time.
Right now I’m just hoping for a Merida vinyl figure or something. The plushies and dolls don’t really interest me. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be in the cards yet
They will also produce(when the movie comes out) dolls of he boys and Elinor, which come withbears they can go inside.
Ditto! I don’t really remember following Pixar merch this closely before, so I’m hoping that more stuff is released in the future. I saw the set of the small PVC/vinyl figurines of Brave characters but I don’t want to spend $20 on it.
I kind of want to buy that archery set. Is that bad? I also saw these cute navy blue mugs with widdle 3D bear faces on the bottom. Want one!
The bear plushies are out. I bought "Happy Bear. ([spoil]Hubert[/spoil]
The set with he boys is out. So are the bear cub plushies. And the “Mother Bear” too. She wearsa crown that looks suspicious…
Ah, I see.
I noticed that just by scrolling through the Brave section of disneystore.com today. I’m aware of the spoilers it involves, so it doesn’t impact me much, but I’m a little annoyed that the merch has such an emphasis on spoilery material. They aren’t even trying to hide the “big twist,” are they? Between certain clips in trailers, the merch, and stuff in the theme parks, I feel like Pixar is making it very obvious to anyone who stops and thinks a little about the film because [spoil]the bears are there so much.[/spoil] Most of the time, you really have to search to find spoilers in merch (by finding and reading the tie-in kids’ books, for example). These are right in your face.
…wow, I sound very pessimistic! I love that Brave’s gotten so much high-quality merch, I really do! Especially since Pixar films apart from Toy Story and Cars don’t usually get much. I just wish it wasn’t as spoilery.
When I checked out the new Brave stuff, I did as I always do when I look at new Pixar movie merchandise - avoid the spoilers at all costs! I also found the one toy I would like to have more than anything they’ve put out so far: the Merida doll with Plush Angus! For some reason, this particular Merida looks closer to her real self than the other doll, and because of that, it’s a totally stunning doll! I love how her horse, Angus, is scaled appropriately. And I would much rather have a plush of him than a plastic model with brushable hair like they did with Tangled’s Maximus (Not a big fan of brushable manes on model horses). He looks so very cute, and hey, he even makes horsey noises! But before I get myself too excited about getting the set for my birthday, I have to first see Brave and then see Merida and Angus in-store to make sure that they look as nice in reality as they do online. Because a lot of DisneyStore toys don’t meet my expectations (I don’t really own many DisneyStore toys because of this), I want to make sure that it’s worth the $40.
Hi!! Just letting you know, the doll set is just as nice as it looks. I want it too lol.
You know how I said that Brave’s merchandise doesn’t even try to hide spoilers? I ran across this photo today of a stuffed bear cub in Disneyland that really takes the cake. It’s a clever idea, but this actually tells you Brave’s “big twist.” I mean, all you’d have to do is browse through the store and glance at the tag, and WHAM- massive spoilers. Click at your own risk. twitpic.com/9oflfs
Dang, I haven’t seen that figurine before! Her face is slightly strange, but I think she would be a difficult character to sculpt to begin with. I’ll pass. I want a smaller vinyl/resin figurine!
That’s pretty much exactly what I wanted, but yeah, that sculpt doesn’t look very good.
I’m liking all the designs for the ipads cases! [url]shopDisney | Official Site for Disney Merchandise
Yeah, Zazzle is the best! I’m thinking having Merida on a shirt will be a must for me
