andrewforlife: Wow, amazing! Looks even better in these pictures. The only thing about this one I’m not as keen on is the expression, since she looks a bit uncertain. Regardless, all of the dolls of Merida released thus far are very nice
I hope DS makes one of Elinor. I also wouldn’t mind Maudie but it’s a pipe dream
Wow! Again, I keep getting surprised at how well-made the Brave dolls have been! The only thing is, if I get Elinor, I’ll want Fergus, and if I get them, I’ll want the triplets. I already have my eyes on one particular Merida doll and I hope to get her for my birthday, and I still can’t help but think “I’ve got to get the rest of her family!” sometimes, but a Fergus doll is totally unlikely (at least they could have the courteousy to make an action figure in the same scale!). Heh heh, I don’t know why when I get character toys that I feel entitled to get the rest of the characters close to them (Like the fact I never plan to get a TSC Mr. Potato Head unless they make a Mrs. Potato Head, and then I’ll have to get the aliens as well).
^Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with them. I mean, I’m glad they exist at all, but their faces just aren’t very… childlike.
I’m pretty much exactly the same! I’m still hunting down Bonnie’s Peas in a Pod.
It’s such a shame a Fergus doll most likely won’t ever exist. I’d snatch him up in an instant.
I really want to get the LE doll, but for $100 I’m not sure I can justify that price. I know once there sold out they will be on ebay for twice that. sigh What to do…
I just counted 9 different books on the movie at the Safeway supermarket today, including painting books and glow-in-the-dark and storybooks and sticker books, none very long and oriented for a younger crowd than 8-9 years.
But didn’t see the Art of Brave, which is probably $30 or more. You can find most of these with a simple Amazon search.
Just out are Brave merchandise at the movie theaters in Japan. Brave is called メリダとおそろしの森, but in Japan we just say Merida. The movie is out nation wide this Saturday, July 21st. That’s when summer vacation starts in Japan. Anyways here’s the link to Merida stuff. stellatuhan.com/asp/Category … G=10011253
Ooh, thank you for sharing the info with us as always Rey I like the looks of the merchandise too. They seem to favor the triplet bears in marketing there, hm?
I know about two Pixar exclusive items. There’s a very nice looking Brave watch, and the crew got a really awesome shirt with the triplets on it.skydrive.live.com/?cid=dab0c6ed … A749%21730
I agree, they should really make a Fergus toy compliant with the Elinor doll. It seems like…dare I say it…they are marketing it as a girl movie. On the Disney Store website, Merida is listed under the category “girls toys”.
Yeah, that kind of bothers me. I dunno. The notion of “boy’s toys” and “girl’s toys” has always kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Plus, the family just isn’t complete!!
Their Elinor doll is AWESOME though, and looks even nicer in person than it does in photos, so I’d recommend it.
