Brought the new Game today!

Hi all,

Yeah, I brought Mater National today!
What do I think???..

Well, the game is almost identicle to the first game, apart from a few Graphics updates etc…
There are some new characters, but sadly they have removed alot of the Characters that were from the first game. :frowning:
The voices sound very different! Even Lightning McQueen! It is Owen Wilson doing the voice, but there isn’t alot of effort put into the voice acting in my opinion!
Doc Hudson…I’m very sure his voice isn’t done by Newman, as he sounds very raspy and sounds like a completely different person, so our Hudson Hornet has down-graded! :angry:
Apart from that, the game isn’t too bad.
Shame they have lowered the difficulty, as I find it dead easy! Compared to the first.
So…Not a bad game, but dissapointing at the same time! :cry:

Sorry to hear that, Dan. I still haven’t even played the first one, but it looks really nice from the YouTube videos.

Yeah, for some reason I don’t think Pixar voice actors’ contracts extend to video games or toys, which just sounds odd. I wish they would pay them to do that little bit of extra voice work…

I have the first game and the voices are all credited to the people who did the movie, but I don’t think they did any for Mater National.

Dan: Oh boy, Owen Wilson doing a half effort job on his acting in the game? That is kinda bit of a surprise for me.

I think a majority of the Voice actors did the voices, I think McQueen, and Sheriff sounded dead on. Along with Ramone, and a couple others.

I just picked up my copy of the game for ps2. I havn’t played it until tonight because i had to go pick up a memory card. I can’t wait to play this.

Maybe because of that suside thing,with him trying to kill himself.But yeah that is sad. :confused: :angry:

But you would expect him to at least try to get into character.

I don’t have the game so I can’t really say, but I still don’t think the original voice actors did the voices…probably just some sound alikes…

Who ever voiced as Doc Hudson in Mater-Nationals didn’t sound like Paul Newman unless his voice is like that now. But to me it’s somebody else. Unless Larry the Cable Guy did a short of a bad job, Mater in the second game sounds like somebody else. The rest of the characters i havn’t reach that far of the game yet.
