There is an easter egg in the second disc of The Incredibles, which features [spoil]a montage by Brad Bird of buttons, doors, and explosions[/spoil]. Does anyone know the background music to this funny little video? Or is it original, from Pixar?
I moved this topic to “The Incredibles” section of the boards as the “Buttons and Doors” easter egg is not a true short film.
As for the backround score, it is most likely an original piece of classical music (by Mozart, if I’m not much mistaken). I’m sure that someone else on the boards will be able to assist you on this matter.

The song that was played was indeed composed by Mozart. But I don’t really remember what the song was called. I think I posted the title here on PP a long time ago.
I finally found it! It’s called The Anvil Chorus, by Verdi.
For some reason we all thought it was Mozart. ![]()
Hmm, for some odd reason, I always thought Mozart composed that song. I remember asking a friend who composed it, and he said it was probably Mozart. And we probably thought it was Mozart because he is the only classic composer mentioned in the Incredibles.
A113 - Verdi, eh? That’s interesting. I thought for sure that it was Mozart…
I’m glad that you found out what piece of music that was, along with its composer. ![]()

The ANVIL chorus. That’s what it was called. I totally recognized it, but forgot the name. Yeah it’s from one of Verdi’s operas. The chorus is singing about something or other (nobody ever cares what the poor chorus is singing!
) while someone is banging on an anvil. I don’t get it either… Just saw it in a documentary. But this is off topic, isn’t it? scurries off
It’s not Mozart for sure. You can usually recognize Mozart if there are lots of trills, and it’s light and bouncy, etc… or if you just listen to his stuff non-stop for two years straight – and still going! Yeah I need a life. Anyway, that chorus is way too heavy to be Mozart.
The music in Jack-Jack Attack is Mozart. But this was discussed elsewhere.

Oh yeah, that! I do kinda like that music even though I’m not much of a one for classical stuff.
CL: How cool, you definetely know your music history and composers.
Anyways, this little buttons and doors thing that Brad put together probably added that little inspiration I needed to start making MVs.
TSS: Haha, thanks. It’s an obsession…
I’d love to see some of your MVs in the future!
Would you love to see some now?
for sure!
we’re getting off topic… maybe PM me?
