BuyNLarge

Man, I don’t want to wait two morw weeks for it.

I think we will be waiting for than two weeks. Just read the disclaimer. It basically says that no matter what the advertised date is on the site they can put it back indefinitley. End of the year anyone?

That would suck. You’re probably right, though. (snigger)

My guess is that the official “release” date will be sometime in November; say, perhaps, upon the release of the Ratatouille DVD? It’s anyone’s guess as to when the site itself will become more…“local”, though.

Who wants to guess what happens on the 25th? I’m guessing that there will be another mouse-over feature and another excuse for moving the grand opening date!

The new site has gone live -

buynlarge.com/noflash.html

YAY!!!
BuyNLarge
it looks so real!
They have WALL_E
GAR-E
NANC-E
WEND-E
and
SAL-e
go there NOW!

That site is awesome! WALL-E is going to be one incredible movie!!!

This site is really a Pixar geeks dream site. So many references to other Pixar films and people at Pixar. It’d take a good few hours to sift through it all.

So I’m guessing that the site news takes place before Wall-E storyline? Because humanity eventually left earth.

phsycobolt - First, welcome to Pixar Planet, dude! :sunglasses:

Yes, I do believe the website’s time point is before the movie itself. It seems to me…

[spoil]That BuyNLarge was a company that created household products/accessories on earth. When Earth went wrong, they used their tech for cleaning it up. That’s why you (or at least I) can’t find Wall*E (the robot) on buynlarge.com.[/spoil]

Just a guess. :stuck_out_tongue:

@Gasduude Bleh you spelled my name wrong.

[spoil]I think that BuyNLarge was the fault that humanity trashed the earth. After reading some of the world news it seems that they are influencing people to buy all these things. Like the Xanadou Shopping Pill that gives people a “shopping happiness”. So I guess earth was filled with all of these junk consumerism left. And from my point of view it seems that BuyNLarge is planning world domination! :open_mouth: [/spoil]

That site surely has a lot of humor.

This is simply one of the greatest and most hilarious sites on the entire planet and the universe combined. I can’t tell you how many chuckles I expired as I was sifting through the site and exploring its many depths. Absolutey and hilariously ingenious it is, I say!! This is just fantastic…

The second paragraph of the disclaimer at the bottom of the front page just cracked me up, by the way. Take a peek:

[spoil]We do not sell, rent, or lease our customer lists to third parties because there aren’t any. In order to help provide our services, we occasionally provide information to ourselves on our own behalf.[/spoil]

Ingenious! I was laughing so hard when I read that…

Gasduude - Actually, you can

[spoil]…locate a possible mention of the robot, WALL-E in the “News” section of the website.[/spoil]

Go to this link…

buynlarge.com/NewsCenter.html?storyId=27

…click on “Technology”, and read the full story under the headline, “Robot Expresses First Emotion: Thoughtfulness”.

So yeah. Great site! I absolutely love the “taste” of it, and I can’t get enough! :stuck_out_tongue:

– Mitch

psychobolt - Woops, my bad! And maybe your right - BNL could be the cause of all of Earth’s problems.

Mitch - Huh, missed that. Site’s just too darn big. Now we know why they weren’t updating Pixar.com, they were busy with busy with this site! :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, yeah! It all makes sense now… (snigger)

psychobolt - Oh, and welcome to Pixar Planet, dude!

WOW!!!
I can’t stop laughing . If this is the kind of humor we’ll find in the movie I’m gonna see it a zillion times at least.
Wall*e rules! ;-o ;-o ;-o ;-o ;-o ;-o

I’m loving all the Pixar references!

psychobolt: Welcome to Pixar Planet!

Well actually, Pixar maintains its own site I believe. An outside company creates all the official sites and this one too for Disney. So you could say that Pixar might be lacking a staff member to work on their website for them.

I checked it out. Pretty amusing! I havent looked at everything but I love all the Pixar references and the disclaimers at the bottom. [spoil]I liked reading about the 4-D movie that will take 40 years to complete[/spoil]

…yeah, by the animation studio Pix-vue in Emeryville California.
