This is one of my all-time favourite cartoons from Disney. When I first saw an
episode, I didn’t expect it to be done well… mainly because all that was going through my head was "how
can they turn a CG-movie into a 2D cartoon?" However, it worked incredibly well. One of the reasons is
because they took a character that didn’t necessarily have to be the same character from the original movie
(Buzz Lightyear… and I’m convinced that it’s not the same Lightyear from Toy Story) and show a different world
that was rarely shown from TS (and TS2). Plus you got all these new characters that are so funny and
enjoyable.
After a few more episodes, I quickly became hooked. My favourite character was XR, whose humour
truly sold me. He’s the perfect comic relief. I also like Mira Nova for her powers, appearance, and sarcasm. For
the most part, there aren’t any characters in the show that I really dislike. I even love some of the villains…
mainly NOS-4-A2 and Zurg.
Oh, I sure hope there are other fans of the cartoon around the board! They
stopped showing BLoSC in Canada at least 3 years ago and I’ve been upset about it ever since! I really hope they
release it on DVD in the future…
I think they stopped showing it about five years ago, here. My favourite character was XR by
far, too- he was just SO funny, and always had something to say; usually at exactly the wrong time. Larry Miller
did a great job with him.
BLoSC did Toy Story justice but was, at the same time, very unique and separate
from TS. It worked very well.
I like this show, but during it’s time of living I spent more time trying to catch
Teacher’s Pet. I enjoyed BLoSC very much . . . just a shame I couldn’t see both
at that particular moment of my life!
Oh yeah, Teacher’s Pet…This
WAS a long time ago!
Sorry, but I can’t share
your opinion. That Lightyear TV series was pretty bad. I didn’t like it in any way.
I just saw it about 3 weeks ago it is cool
This is intresting. Please explain why you don’t like it as
mch as others. From what I have heard, people said it was enjoyable.
Yeah,
the series is quite enjoyable - but nothing more. It’s just one of those animated series that you watch, when
you have nothing better to do.

Buzz Lightyear of Star
Command works because you know deeep down it’s not the actual Buzz Lightyear from the movie, but rather the show
that Andy watches himself that features Buzz Lightyear and thus inspires him getting a Buzz action figure for his
birthday and thus the movies. Thus it works by fitting into that world. Any other Pixar movie would have a hard
time being translated as such. =)
