captain future

anybody of you guys & gals here happen

to knows “captain future”…?
it was a pulp series, created in the early 40ties by edmond hamilton.

in europe, an animated tv series (done by toei doga animation) broadcasted around the 1980 s gained

“cult” status, although it was made for children.

people who know me also know that i run a

website on this subject and that i have been trying to re-awake public (or at least fan) attention for this

series during the last years (hm… fruitless attempts of a real hardcore fan…). since this was one of my

favourite science fiction tv adventures, i’d love to see a sequel (and many european fans, too!). and since only

pixar movies are made with this incredible love for details and nearly painstaking careful development of

characters to identify with, i of course would like pixar to pick up the task…

now my question: are

there any fans in the u.s. at all?

Nope,

never heard of it!

Sounds cool though…

I’ve never heard of it either.

Early 40s? Did it once air on Cartoon Network?

no idea, star

swordsman. maybe yes… at least there was one version especially synchronized for the american

market (because i’ve got one rare video cassette where the voices are obviously american english)
