Captain Pan's Gallery

That looks really nice, Captain Pan! I like how you put some highlights on Dug. Your use of color is nice, but like ffdude1906 said, Dug’s collar could be a little darker/lighter than Dug himself. It blends into his fur a bit. Oh, and it would be nice to see some color in the badges on Russell. Overall, it looks great! I am sure your girlfriend will love it!

Hannahmation… and FfDude1906… I did say when I posted it on dA (and thewisecookiesheet did comment on that) that touch ups will keep me going for the next couple of days… May have to sort both of the ideas out… maybe add a dash more Gold and Bronze in the paint that make up the collar… Could Add some colour into those cicles too… thinking I might need to find a pic of Russell’s sash now… now where’s Disney Dutchess’ old signature of Russell?

I applaud your work on the concept artwork on the Pixar characters Captain pan. You are such an amazing artist.

NOw in the last month I have successfully drawn Both Dug and Russell from Up,
largely down to help and encouragement from membership here and those who speak to me on dA and Skype.

Now those who haven’t seen the movie yet (we must be getting few and far between now) may want to avert your eyes for this…

Others on the other-side of that release I really want some advice on perfecting the character… well “perfecting” more like “improving”

out of the interest of fairness I’m only going to post the link.

Have fun… Enjoy… and Help!

I think it looks great! I love that series of drawings, I may try to do them myself, they’re very cool.

That’s so cool! you have amazing drawing skills my friend

Wow! Fantastic drawing CaptPan! Nicely done! I love the CDA guy. That quite reminds me of the scene in Monsters, Inc. LOL

Just one PIcture to add

I’ll let you guess who it is…

Aww! Dug looks so incredibly cute in this drawing! I love his big puppy dog eyes! It has a different feel from your other drawings. I like it. Variety is always fun to see.

Thanks Hannahmation just wondering how is it different to my others?

I did do another one… before I posted my last one… but I got a little insecure about it

But then I just felt a little better about it… so here it is!

Your Dug sketches have a nice, soft quality about them. The line work seems more free and more confident; like you’re getting more confident about your drawing skills. And you’re doing more with poses and emotions.

Wow, you have really turned out a lot of amazing artwork since my last visit, Captain Pan! :open_mouth:

The ones that stood out to me were Frozone’s (cos’ I like his ‘body line’, nicely exaggerated and has a good flow), the young Carl (because you captured his youthful optimism perfectly) and the one of sad Dug (pretty “aww…-inducing”, and makes you want to give the poor dog a hug).

Excellent work, buddy. Keep on truckin’!

Whoa Cap! You’re sooo gonna teach me how to draw like that!

Thanks guys… seeing comments like these really does boost the lacking confidence I have in my doodles!

chef91 as to teaching you how to draw… I’m honsetly not the best person to ask… mainly cause I don’t know what or how I got them to look like they do. Its a complete twist of fate.

Clear!

Clear!

Thread Revivied!

Its has been 16 months since there was last a post in this thread… so its time for the Captain to show you what he’s found… and then drawn in the last 24 hours…

But First things first… the old stuff

Those are pretty good!

BTW, I can’t make out who the first sketch is. Is it supposed to be Muntz?

Thanks for the comment JustSoWall-eCrazy.

The first picture isn’t Charles Muntz it’s taken from the concept art from To Infinity and Beyond, Pixarpedia calls the gentleman Geri- The Cleaner, also known the the schizophrenic chess playing Geri-atric- featured in the 1997 short “Geri’s Game”

Thanks for telling me. I can totally see it now!

It’s ok JustSoWall-eCrazy took my firends a while to notice him… and they hadn’t long watched Toy Story 2

Why draw on a sketch pad and in a lit room? why not try drawing on a post-it note and in the dark as friends watch Law Abiding Citizen?

That is exactly what I did with these 4 drawings
