Stickers , you’re looking ( well
, sort of ) at girl with an nascar expert stepfather ( who happens to have a NASCAR licence , sorry , i jut never
get to brag about that . )
Usually , a car from NASCAR , is usually made , i’d say , about two months
before the race . Usually , the car isn’t used again , unless it’s in perfect shape and that car won . Except ,
that is , during the Datoyna 500 , when they take the winning car and put it on display for 1 year .
So yeah , Sally’s a little older than Lightning , but big deal ! they’re cars , and since this
movie started aaround where Finding Nemo is , they’re basically only , like , 3 years apart . Now if Doc was
dating some 2002 model car , that would be freaky .
gottalovepixar - hey, i obviosly missed something. what did you
say about sallys stepfather? was that in the movie and i didn’t notice…?
ahm, could u please
explain…?
No , No , No , my stepfather !
He’s the expert who knows all this stuff on NASCAR .
And I just noticed I messed up my years . The
Incredibles was released in 2004 , while Finding Nemo was released in 2001 , making Sally and Lightning the same
year model , if you will . So , they’re bsically the same age .
Some Nemo fan I am .
GLP: I thought Nemo was
released in the year 2003.
( smakes head on desk ) i need to go research more . ![Bemused :-\]()
another question:
what i’d always like to know
is, what can be found “inside” a car.
i mean - since there is no driver, do the CARS cars still
have a dashboard, driver’s seat, back seats, steering wheel etc. inside? hm… any kind of instrument there
would be useless, since they couldn’t take a quick glance at the speedometer or their RPMs. it just wouldn’t
make any sense.
the problem is that we cannot just have a look - the side & rear windows are somewhat
shaded, whereas the front window plays host to the vehicle’s eyes…
i remember one of the comments on
the tickets for the final race, where seats are mentioned. but does this imply they really have seats inside, or
was it just some kind of “saying”?
Here’s a question. What do
Cars use for money?
Spare
tires? Heheh. You can’t have too many of those.

The Star Swordsman - Nuts
and bolts. That’s would I would use for change if I was a car.
My guess would be Gas/Oil is their commodity. As a car, that really is the only
Day by Day thing they need. I mean, for a human the reason you get money to feed yourself, right? That and for
shelter, etc. But a car doesn’t really need that.
Mitch: I find it intresting how Lighting was able to buy stuff from the cars from Radiator springs, but we
never see him pay for it.
electronic cash
well, we also never saw
him dial up harv, or better, we didn’t see harv dialling up him, and nevertheless they were talking on the phone
to each other.
i also wonder how cars identify themselves - is the license plate something like an
I.D.card?
back to the electronic cash: how is it booked, and the transaction gets verified by
what?
another silly one: if humans marry, they exchange rings (at least most of them do so) as a physical
sign of the bond they made. but what do cars do (if, at all…?)?

The Star Swordsman - I know – it’s odd. Either
the animators couldn’t think of what cars could use for cash (which is highly unlikely), or it just wouldn’t be
that interesting to watch vehicles exchange money on the screen.
stickers - Hey…that’s just a cool idea: license plates as ID cards. I
absolutely love that! It could definitely work, that’s for sure.
As for the
“exchange of the rings” act: Exchanging tires, perhaps?
So, if a car needs to fill up on gas, they have to
pay with gas?

stickers : In my first
fanfiction (Cars 2 ) I put " it’s like an engagement rim " . It sounded a bit like ’ ring ’ , so u
can see how i got that .
Well, no. I guess that
wouldn’t work.

stickers- How about Hubcaps?
You know, you
buy your girl (or guy) an engagement hubcap! And then a Marriage
Cap!

rim , hubcap , what’s the
difference ? lol
Maybe they just don’t have anything like that , just say your vows , sign a
paper , and your out of there .
sounds like vegas …
lol

This is all
pretty funny! But it probably wouldn’t be paper that they sign, they sign a slab of wet cement!
i’m guessing somebody made a joke over here
that i did’t catch … but I’m too lazy so I’m just gonna say …
i don’t get it .
