Yeah, but most Pixar films have a collection of storyboard-stage scenes which are cool.
Exactly. Those, you’ll get, no doubt.
I love the storyboard deleted scenes! It’s always really interesting to see what could’ve happened.
And I’ll probably get whichever option allows me a DVD and Blu-Ray disc. Cause I don’t wanna be limited to watch one I want to watch in which room
True. But I don’t want them to make me buy the 3D Blu-ray, which wouldn’t be useful to me.
Yeah, that’s what I meant. If we end up with a fully animated scene like we did with WALL-E, that’s a treat, but I love storyboards!
You know, contrary to my post, there might actually be a bonus disc with the standard bluray. Disney tends to be… cryptic, for lack of a better word, when it comes to labeling their blurays. For instance, Wall-E’s original deluxe release is listed as “3-Disc Bluray + Digital Copy” Which, to me, sounds like there are 3 blurays and one digital copy, when in fact there were two bluray discs and one digital copy.
So the moral of the story is, don’t count your blurays before they hatch xD
I’m probably gonna end up with the 3D anyway because I’m saving up for the pretty boxset (I never got blurays of anything) but if any bonus is on it I have no way of getting to it, unless its playable on standard bluray but all fuzzy or whatever. D:
The 3D set includes the movie in 2D, and the bonus features are all in 2D. Same with the director’s set. If you buy either of them, you’ll have access to all available content, assuming you have a regular standard bluray player.
phew
Haha yes. People are mad that non-3D owners are forced to buy the 3D edition for all the features (which it hasn’t been confirmed that the bonus disc isn’t included in the standard release), but you get better box art and more features, so… yeah. lol
Yeah I’ll probably get the fourth set (even though I don’t have a 3D TV) for the extras, and make a cool sculpture out of the extra disks or something.
For those interested, if you pre-order the Cars 2 Blu-ray from Disney Store, you get a free exclusive lithograph set. I just pre-ordered mine for $32.99, only a dollar more than Amazon has it listed, and the lithographs look great.
Whoa whoa whoa, back the truck up! I just bought the regular Blu-ray + DVD pack, and I didn’t get the bonus features… I realise this would have been obvious had I looked here first before buying, but I didn’t know we have to buy into outdated glasses-3D to get special features now! How unfair, I just upgraded my Pixar DVD collection to blu-ray and now I feel majorly jipped
