I don’t think it’s the “popular” thing. All the people I know don’t like Cars because it wasn’t their thing, and they’re geniune about it. I for one love Cars, and am excited for Cars 2. But I never thought of people dissing Cars because it is the cool thing to do…

Take me, for instance. I love Cars, but I can’t deny it’s the weakest one (the thing is that all their movies are so good, the weakest is still awesome).
I’ll repeat what I always say: we should separate the objective analysis of a film from our personal tastes.

I always try to realize that my favorite doesn’t have to be the best. I’m not the best at it, but it sounds ignorant to say it’s the best just because you like it the best.
I think hating/disliking Cars is the popular thing to do. Why does everyone say
“that’s dumb”, or “That’s a load of crap”? Can’t you just say, “I didn’t love that movie”, or “Not my thing”? People almost always take it to the extreme for attention, rather than giving a movie what it really deserves.

That’s pretty much wishful thinking. Most people, when they voice negative opinions, just can’t do it politely.
As for the MaterxHolly thing, I like it.
I think they’d make an adorable couple.
Holly really seems like she’s going to be pretty annoyed with him at first though, no? 
I think it’ll be fun watching them argue a bit until they fall mad for each other.

Yeah, I guess you’re right. But it’s still endlessly annoying. 
I’m a little disappointed with the character turntable and wallpapers… they look almost exactly like the first movie’s. It is great to read the bios for returning characters and how they will affect the movie in their own ways. I especially can’t wait to see [spoil]Luigi’s family[/spoil].
It seems, though, that they have left out [spoil]London[/spoil] from the travel itinerary, unlike what the concept artists led us to believe, which is a shame. At least we got Sir [spoil]Michael Caine’s[/spoil] character and Holly to make up for it!
