Yeah…I just hope they don’t go the Slinky route and actually try to replace Paul Newman. I despise when they, especially Pixar, recast dead voices…

I just don’t want them to bother. I tried to ignore Slinky, since he barely spoke, but I think for this individual case, it’d be easier to say “Doc passed on” and leave it at that.
Imagine if the dark part of Cars is that Doc dies… Imagine how Lightning would feel.

Well, cars “die” in real life, so why not in the Cars universe? And yeah, it’s be interesting to see how Light would react to the loss of Doc.
It doesn’t take much to get people whining on Youtube XD That said, the concept so far sounds more like a “Mater’s Tall Tales” short than a full length film but I’ll bet it’ll still be good

Guys, they’re a business. They do what makes money, and sorry, but Mater does that really well.
Little kids are the ones that beg their parents like nuts until they get what they want. Little kids love Mater, so it’s basically a simple formula.
I’m just so sick of everyone always complaining about Mater. Mater is awesome, and he’s not leaving, so you’ll just have to get past your complex, guys.

Theres a diferrence between cars hate and mater hate you know? And i dont hate mater, i just think hes getting undeserved screentime, buy het pixar its pixar, if they are gonna give him more screentime probably its important in the plot.
I was just thinking that maybe the message in cars 2 is that no matter how smart you are you are great, because maybe the other secret agents will undervalue mater
