Cars 2?

I’ll use Cars as an example. I don’t think the movie alone is deserving of a sequel, because it wasn’t much of a critical, or box-office success and, according to a lot of people here, it is far from the best Pixar movie (it could be said that it falls near to the bottom of people’s list of “best” Pixar movies). So, since the first film, to put it bluntly, wasn’t that good, should it really have a sequel?

I don’t think that’s what the majority of Pixar fans think. Cars WAS that good. I don’t think I can look at it in a critical way (if that was ALWAYS the case, Shrek 4 should not happen) or even box-office-wise, since it did quite well.

It really should wind down to the story, and I’ll admit it ended nicely. The main reason I would want to see a sequel (and NOT because I’m a huge Cars fan, hehe), but because I’d want to see more of the Cars world. I believed it from the beginning, which surprised me. It’s Pixar’s most creative film, and I know they can put more into the lives of the cars… different places… what they do for a living (besides driving, hehe), etc.
