I certainly hope they realize that! HDTVs arent all they’re cracked up to be. Plus the last I
heard only about 10% of the population actually has one. So does that also mean you have to have an HDTV to play
these Blu-rays? I hope they release a 2-disc DVD! Heck, all i want, all i ever wanted since I first saw Cars, is
a commentary…

Exaaactly. My guess is that they will, I mean, if you’re Disney, and you got all
these cool things you spent money on to make, wouldn’t
you want as many people as you can to see 'em? Cars may not have done as well as
other Pixar films had, but it was still a very succesfull; so it’s not like there is going to be
no demand.
I’m with ya’ on the commentary
thing too. When I heard Cars was a two-disc, I was like "Well, at least
there’s still going to be a commentary". But when I had watched all of it’s bonus features (in one night)
I really needed a commentary. Bad.

In time I am sure blu-ray players will come down. Remember when DVD players first came out
they were close to $1,000?
Now you can get one for $100.
Blue-Ray reminds me of the old Laser discs. They were flashy, but too expensive.
However, I’m excited
for a 2-disc release. I’ve held off on buying Cars in hopes for a bigger, better 2-disc and hopefully it’ll be
worth it…

well It’s not
exactly a 2-disc DVD set. It’s a 2-disc Blu-ray set. Upcoming Pixar said there’s no word yet on if there’ll be
a 2-disc dvd set. I’d like there to be but I’m not getting my hopes up…
Wheres the commintary? 
Well the Blu Ray disc got delayed and
might not be coming out until September now. I own a Blu Ray player and a 1080P tv so of course I’ll be picking
this up when its finally released.

Ah, so it is like blu-rays are better than DVDs. Really cool. i might not get the cars one because i am happy with my dvd.
A blu-ray player actually comes with the new PlayStation 3, so I might just save up for that and get a sort of two in one combo.

Mitch- Yeah, the wacko thing is, if you just buy a Blu-ray player without the PS3,
it costs almost double the amount to get a PS3 that has the player in it! Even Sony, who make both the PS3 and a
selection of Blu-ray players, has admitted that it’s quite strange how it’s worked out.
