This really excites me. I can’t wait until I actually get to go to Radiator Springs! What are your thoughts on this new addition to Disney’s California Adventure?

I’m so convincing my parents to go on vacation to California the year it opens! I don’t care how much it costs! I’m gonna go on vacay there! I have to!

I dont think one way or the other about it. Mainly cuz it wont affect me. I dont see myself getting to California anytime in the near future so I probably wont even see it.

Are they seriously making a Cars Land? Is this really true? This is the very first time I heard about it.

Yes, it’s true. Disney a year or so back started a multi-billion dollar project for completely changing Disney’s California Adventure park into a MUCH more sophisticated park than it is now. “Carsland” will be a brand new land included to the park. This new land will be past Hollywood Pictures Backlot and A Bug’s Land, and will feature Radiator Springs from Cars and some attractions, including a high speed thrill ride based off the film.

Last time I was there (Last January), Paradise Pier was under construction, and will continue to be under construction until maybe 2010. Construction will begin on Carsland down the road.

It’s really quite amazing seeing Imagineers including John Lasseter at play when it comes to building a theme park for Disney park enthusiasts like me. Hopefully you guys would find those videos enjoyable.

Thanks for those links Disney_Guy! I really can’t wait for the new additions to DCA. My family goes there every other year and having another park based on one of my favorite Pixar movie,it’s just amazing! :smiley: Does anybody know when this is supposed to officially open?

Haha, well not to say there won’t be wonderful additions to the park before Carsland.
Have you been on Toy Story Midway Mania yet? You can see the poster for it in my sig. It’s nearly a year old ride now, but it is a FANTASTIC ride that you definitely would love, if you haven’t ridden it already.

Yeah, i did and I have to say, one of the coolest rides at a Disney park ever! :smiley: I even had a conversation with Mr. Potato head! how many people can say that? :laughing:

So Lasseter is working in the parks now…you know, if I believed in renicarnation, I’d say that in a way he’s the reincarnate of Walt himself.

Oh goody, I can’t wait! I’ve seen concept art of this before… it look fantastic! I picked the first option in the vote by the way, though we’ll have to see the circumstances if I can make it on the year it opens…

I wonder who voted ‘No’? I’m sure anyone on this forum wouldn’t mind another Pixar theme-park attraction, even if Cars is not their favourite film… :question:
