cellular devices (celly phones!)

The Star

Swordsman - Aw man, that sucks. Too bad. Well, one of these days you’ll be able to download cool

stuff for your phone. You’ll have to pay the extra bills for it of course, but, what the heck?

My mom

said that I am allowed to download whatever I want, but I don’t. The simple fact of the matter is that I really

don’t need it, and I have this thing about not wanting my parents to spend too much on me. Henceforth, the only

stuff I have downloaded are an Incredibles and Looney

Toons “pack” of stuff. Heh.

I guess after I move out of my house, I will be free to put on my phone what ever I want.

You know what I really really want? The new apple iPhone.

Dearlord it looks supercool. It costs about my soul and a half though… :frowning:

An Iphone? Isn’t

that like a combination between an Ipod and a celluar phone? I have never heard of this before. Please

explain.

apple.com/iphone/

It is indeed a combo between an ipod and a cell phone. It is going to be

released later this year. It comes in 4 gig and 8 gig sizes and it has a ton of features. The whole thing is

basically a screen. A TOUCHscreen. You have all the perks of a cell: calling, texting, pictures, voicemail, etc.

etc. but then you also have your ipod. Which of course is the music, movies, games, etc. etc.

It is a very

exciting and tempting combination! If all my electronics happen to break at once… I might consider getting

one. But I have a cell and ipod already and they are both pretty new and wonderful. So… I am afraid that the

only way I would actually get one is if someone happened to throw one at me. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and

Wink" />

whoa! that’s an awsome phone i want one!

Pretty soon, everyone is gonna get an Iphone. But I am happy with mine. I have

both an Ipod and a cell phone. I think I’ll stick with these two than get the Iphone.

Technology finally gets so advanced that people can’t even talk on the phone

without checking their emails and surfing the web at the same time…on the same mobile. :unamused:

But, I

have to admit that that is one cool lookin’ thing,

JamieLew.

I know. I wonder

what is next. A cell phone that acts like a television, movie theater and a computer at once?

Believe it or not, there

actually is a telephone that will play (recorded/live) tv shows on it. I think some

of them can also play movies, or one will be developed that can. It’s incredible. :stuck_out_tongue:

Really? I don’t thik I have heard of it. What is it

called?

Mmm…I’m not sure. I forgot the name of it, as it was

so long ago. But if I see it again, I will let you know.

A lot of phones play TV already. Mine does, but it

is so appallingly slow that there is really no use for it. It’s like watching a buffering vid. on your computer.

And it costs money… so what is the point?

JamieLew - Yeah, you’re right. That’s what I thought…but I wasn’t sure. And

yes – I don’t see the point in them, either. Which is why I don’t care whether my phone plays tv shows/movies

or not (which it doesn’t). Who cares? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, these incredible features just eat out of your wallet doesn’t it? Which is why I am a

boring person. I would take a cheap basic phone then have one with featurs. (Even though it would be nice to have

one.)

The Star Swordsman - Nah,

you’re not boring – you’re conservative. Those bonus features do cost alot of

money – up to $7.00 a pack, depending on what you get! It’s ridiculous. :unamused:

One day, everyone will have a little…thing that will do absolutely everything. There’s all this new

technology, and they’re just trying to combine it all to make it seem even more appealing, despite the growing

expenses.

Exactly. I hate that everytime you get something that is the latest, (like the latest

phone), then something new comes along that just shuns it away.

So do I. I’m a nostalgic

person – the old days are in the past, but I wish they would return. Everything is so high tech and "dog

eat dog" these days. (sigh) Oh well. That’s what happens when things change…

What kind of cell phone plan do you guys have?
