The iPhone is probably going to be liek teh iPod, everyone will have on.
I never really got
into teh iPod fad. I like my Sony Walkman mp3. I’ve accidently flung it across the gym, and it still
works…
Anyway… Yeah, games and ringtones and all that are really just bonuses. The novelty will
eventally wear off, and then you just want somethign else. XD But, oh well, that’s where they make a good chunk
of their money. On my current phone, it didn’t even coem with on game, like my phone I had before it broke, came
with 3 games.

The Star Swordsman - I’ve
got a Samsung phone – Verizon, namely. It’s kind of cool looking, especially since I absolutely love the color
silver.
Sammeh - Mine didn’t come with games, either! It sucks.
Well, mine is a motorola,
verison phone. I have something called the family plan. You can call any one of your family member’s cell phones
for as long as you want for free.

The Star
Swordsman - How cool. I’ve heard of that “family plan” thing, and it sounds wicked.
I’m sure you’re happy concerning the “free” part.
Yeah. However, anyone
else that goes over a minute call for me, it will cost me. Which is good. My calls are usually one minute
anyways

Haha, yeah. I don’t 'talk
on mine’. I usually use it for telling my mom where I am/am going, or calling people to see where they are, or
sometimes letting my friends call their parents for some reason.
Mitch: Yeah, and it’s liek 5 dollars a
game here.
The one I downloaded has liek 4 mini games within the game, though.
Sammeh- Ditto. iPods never
appealed to me, because it didn’t make any sense to by an MP3 player for more money than another one which is
actually better, just because of the whole ‘iPods are cool’ thing. The iPhone probably will be everywhere, and
will also probably be very expensive- two reasons not to get it.
Apparently, there’s going to be a new
Windows system. The most up to date one is the XP, but soon, that’s going to be out-of-date. It’s way too
difficult to keep up with technology advances.

Lizardgirl: Windows Vista or something… We never even had XP until a few years after it came
out. Actually, I don’t think my parents ahve bought their own computers yet. XD All of our computers have been
top of the line like two years before hand and then sold or given to us when something new was wanted. They last
awhile too. XD This one has LOTS of memory.
With iPods… I don’t see teh point, who honestly needs like
10, 000 songs or whatever it is. I don’t even think I know that many songs. ^_^;; And people get all defensve
about iPods too. You call them mp3 players and everyone gets all mad.
Anyway… I’m getting off topic
here.

The Star Swordsman - Yeah,
so are mine. Actually, hardly ever call anyone, period. Who needs a phone? Oh wait – I take that back.
Sammeh - Exactly. I think the packs/games I ordered were around $2.00 each,
which isn’t that bad…when you think about it. The fact of the matter is that I hardly ever use them, so
what’s the point in buying more if they won’t be needed? Heh…
An iPod, on the other hand, is
something I want for a reason. My cd player broke and I would love to have a device that would store all of my
songs in one pack. Unfortunately, some money is involved in the purchasing part. I’ll have to save up for that.
(snigger)
Yes, there are people who buy iPods just for the sake of having an iPod and being with the
trend, but I think the iPod is a beautiful creation. I asked for an iPod for my birthday because not only is the
system wonderful (minus the battery life…), it just looks really cool to me. I think Apple really has the
design down and the smooth whiteness of the iPod is just gorgeous. Yeah, I could just as easily get the Toshiba
Gigabeat (another beautiful mp3 player) but the other players out there just don’t have the function as well as
the design. Also, the iPod has iTunes which is by far the best music organizer… I realize that you don’t need
an iPod necessarily for iTunes but you have to admit… it’s a plus that it is compatible with it.
That
was waaay off topic but I had to stand up for my little iPod.

JamieLew - I completely
agree with your whole statement, there. The beauty, precision, and overall look of the numerous iPods out there
is just stunning, and the amount of information it can hold is also incredible.
I also wouldn’t want to
buy an iPod just for the sake of having the thing – I want it for convenience and for…well…for
entertainment.
I wish that your normal, everyday phone could hold the same information as an iPod, but
then the iPods wouldn’t be unique, would they? (snigger)
Indeed and yeah there is something
nice about having the option of all that music and entertainment. I will admit that I have never gone through 30
gigs of fun in between updates from the computer… there is something nice about knowing that you could do that
if you so desired.

I have my lovely little Sony Ericsson W800 (the first walkman phone). I got it for my birthday last year with a
contract, every month I get R150 (about $20) of spending money loaded automatically which is more than enough. .
. It’s my first phone that I can call mine, before this one it was always hand me downs through the whole
family.
^ I think
that’s the phone I have. The swivel one, right?

Nah, I have the bar phone (one solid
piece)… I think I know which one you have though they have swivels and flips and slide phone in the walkman
range… They have even just brought out a touch screen one with a stylus (the pointy pen thingy) that I really
wanted til i saw that it doesnt have an external memory card slot
which is crazy if you want to have
music files on your phone
i like texting it’s F-U-N! I text all my homies! dawg!
okay, a white gril trying to use slang here, oh, creepin’ myself out.
Do you guys like texting?
wait, lemmie get this straight, you don’t have a phone but you text. do you use your
dad’s phone or your mum’s or your best bud’s or you just got a phone?

I prefer texting to making calls, i can get the message
across fast and cheap with quirky little expressions thorwn in. . . Another random thing about my lovely country
is here we call it SMSing cause they call it short message service. . . i just say smiss
Texting really is something revolutionary, though it may
not seem like it. My mum was born profoundly deaf, so being able to communicate with her when I’m not actually
with her was a real luxury when mobile phones first encorporated the text feature. It means that I don’t have to
worry because I can’t call her, because I can always just text- very useful.
