you know what? i wouldn’t really say thats its a spoiler…the fact that mark andrews told the news media? I don’t think he’d reveal spoilers…Its more of like a set up for the story, like in Up, when Ellie dies.

I agree it may not be an spoiler, but use the spoiler tags until it appears in the synopsis, or the trailer.
Or at least, that’s what the trailer makes it look like. Always remember, cuts in trailers can be deceiving.
Just a thought, I was wondering what role will John Ratzenberger have in Brave. From his voice I can picture him being like a guard or something.
Now that you mention it, I defintely see the similarities.
I saw the similarities as soon as I read the spoiler and I disliked them 
I just watched the Brave teaser, and it simply brew me away. It seems like they’re going for something different with this film. The scenery and character animation was some of the best I’ve seen from Pixar.
According to Wikipedia, they’re going for a more serious and mature tone with this film, which is good because I’ve wanted to see them do that for some time now. I am positive that this film will redeem themselves after the critical failure of Cars 2, although I haven’t seen Cars 2 yet, so I can’t really judge it.
I’m happy they’re going darker too, cause that’s something I know they can do, and critics’ll like it 
I hope it redeems them, but still I’m getting a little scared. I’m a lot less sure of them than I used to be.
Just saw the Brave plot details. Mother Bear, anyone?

I think it’s a main plot point and that it will be revealed in the full trailer, anyway.
it is in the official synopsis on the brave website…thats why im saying it musn’t be a spoiler.
I just entered and, in the official synopsis, it talks about a curse, but doesn’t explain it.
Or maybe I didn’t look in the right place, but it’s the only synopsis page that appears to me.
I’m very mixed about this movie at this point. I’ll be excited or not when they release another trailer.

About the Brother Bear similarities- the only real similarity is that a character becomes a bear (which admittedly is a pretty big similarity). Outside of that they sound reasonably different. For one thing, it isn’t the lead character who becomes a bear, and unlike BB, the mother is made a bear through her daughter’s actions, not her own. Plus there’s setting differences and so on. I guess they could have avoided the similarities and picked a different animal, but we don’t really know how the whole “mother is a bear” aspect will play out in the movie, so maybe that specific species is important to the plot.
Anyway, I’m still excited for this movie, and can’t wait to see more of it.
Regardless, I’m still very excited for this movie.

I agree with what Virginia said earlier. I think it’s still early on in the game to determine whether or not this movie will be good or not. For me, I’ll wait until more details about the movie and the first theatrical trailer comes out around the end of the year.
