Can I just say that I’m supremely excited to be seeing the Brave teaser for the first time tomorrow? And in the largest IMAX screen in the world, no doubt! I’ll be watching Cars 2 again for their final screening at the Darling Harbour theatre (their tagline is ‘World’s Biggest IMAX Theatre’) and I’m absolutely thrilled to finally see the trailer I’ve been waiting for the past few weeks to see. I mean, I caught glimpses of it on Youtube, like about one-two seconds of rolling meadows, but yeah, other than that, I have NO IDEA what’s in store.
Hm… I think the Pizza Planet truck will be hidden in subliminally. Kind of if you look at a few trees carefully you can see its sillhouette. That’s what I think.
Anyway, I am still excited for this film, and Merida isn’t ugly at all. I’ve seen uglier people that happen to have loads and loads of fans, so yeah… and I still think it’s silly to judge the movie just by her appearance.
Just make like me and wait an’ see, okay? Hm… that rhymes…
I don’t know if this has already been said but I LOVE how they incorporated the original title (The Bear and the Bow) into the teaser trailer were she shoots a bear with a bow and arrow :3
Am I the only one who always assumed that original concept art was meant to show the royal family at the centre of the story, and that King Fergus is the one-legged man? That they are one and the same? Facially, he really reminds me of Billy Connolly in any event.
Hmm, I never thought about it that way. It did look pretty cool. I had a feeling after Kevin McKidd’s voice over where the bear appears, the horse is sounding like its saying “Brave.” Its these little things about the trailer that makes it pretty cool.
Was reading some of the comments on Rotten Tomatoes about Brave and I came across a pretty good point. Although its looking to be a serious film, they might try to put in some kiddish things in there to attract the younger audiances. If you think about it, the trailer itself seemed a little too serious that more adults/teens would want to see it rather then kids. Its nice to see Pixar act a little bit out of the norm with this movie. It makes me wonder if Pixar will give this movie a “PG” or “G” rating. Also, not sure if this has been posted but heres an interview with composer Patrick Doyle about Brave. slashfilm.com/thor-composer- … ars-brave/
It would probably be cool if they added some wounds on a couple characters like after they been hurt. I mean I could see them put wounds on the bear, but probably not on any of the other characters such as Merida.
I herd on various websites that John Ratzenberger is supposed to be the narrator for Brave. I’m not actually sure if it’s official or not, but wikipedia and a couple other sites have him listed as the narrator.
This is just an idea for what Brave could have for a scene. Anybody remember the piece of concept art where Merida holding the sword inside of some cave? Well maybe they could have some sort of backstory showing her before she became an archer and then how she became one?
I think John Ratzenberger as the narrator would be quite funny . Although if they’re going for a darker and more serious tone then his voice could be detremental, because he always sounds really jokey .
