Oh man I need to see that teaser, pronto, I may just go and see Cars 2 just for the Brave teaser
nah, I kid. xD I may see Cars 2 when it comes out on DVD.
Why? Do you hate Cars?
Hate is a very big word, no, I don’t hate Cars. I think it’s one of the weaker Pixar films, while they’re all just awesome… however, it’s been a while since I last saw it, so maybe my opinion has changed now. 
Like I mentioned in the ‘worst animated movie’ thread, I can never truly hate an animated movie simply because I know how hard it is to make!
Well like many, Cars is my least favourite, and yet i still can’t wait to see Cars 2, to play “spot the easter eggs” if nothing else.

She’s adorable! She’s beautiful, but her face looks kind of like a childs.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing that her cheeks seem a little fat, but it could be partly the shot itself.
I am loving this shot! Gah, this just makes me even more excited for the teaser.
I’m probably going to have a complete emotional breakdown in the theater while watching the trailer. It’s going to be so amazingggg
For some reason, I’m most eager to see how the forests will look.
Not exactly what I pictured, but at the same time much better than what I was hoping from the concept art.
I don’t think it is the best pic we can get of her, so let’s wait to see how she actually looks in a still image (this one was far too dynamic)
Yeah, you can totally tell this cap came from a motion shot because the horse and the trees are a little blurry and her eyes are a little wonky (probably because she’s concentrating and gearing up to shoot an arrow). I’m also interested to see a still image, and/or the trailer footage in a month. In all the other concept images thus far she doesn’t look childish, and the rounded cheeks are balanced out by an elfin-looking pointed chin.
The background reminds me of the moving oil-painting style that was rumoured early on for Tangled. Only better and a bit darker

I really love how this looks like a European arthouse movie as opposed to a film from an American blockbuster-producing studio!
And the fact that most of the concept art features her holding some form of weapon. I really hope they go with the dark and gritty look and give us a real ‘grown-up’ movie. If anyone’s capable of taking animation to the next level, it’s Pixar.
that’s what i was thinking, too. and considering i’m still a little sad they didn’t go with the oil-painting look for tangled, the fact that this film /might/ look similar makes me so happy i can’t even.
also i totally just screamed in excitement and now my mother probably thinks i’m crazy but that’s okay because AHHHHH. merida looks ~fierce, lol. I THINK I LOVE HER ALREADY.
can it be 2012 now?
