Yes, I’m familiar with rotoscoping and they obviously used it a lot in this film. I think you’re spot on when you give that as part of the reason of her weird appearance.

I did ask everyone when they think Merida will be added to the Princess list. It took Rapunzel a while so will Merdia be added as moon as the movie comes out or a year later.
I could see that happening. They’ll probably make a 2D version of Merida for merch like they did with Rapunzel.
And it will probably look bad. I do not like the Rapunzel one.
I find the Rapunzel fanart better then Disney’s 2D version. I hope they work hard on Merida. I also wonder if they will make her look more Disney then Pixar.

Same. Some fanart is amazing. I think I already said that for Merida. Soem og her fanart is very good and I can’t wair for more. Brave isn’t even out yet and she already had quite a few fans.

The general trend with Princess dolls is that the Mattel kind isn’t even remotely recognizable, and the Disney Store version is almost spot on. This is no exception.
I like the Disney Store one a lot more than the Mattel one.

It seems Rapunzel will move out of her current location in Magic Kingdom and Merida will move in. Oh, and the three bear cubs will be involved as well. I’m assuming they’ll be animatronic.
I’m really looking forward to this, as long as she’s a face character. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’ve ever had a Pixar face character- none of them have talked. I think she’d look better as a face character, so I really hope she is. That said, whoever is “friends” with Merida would have to be Scottish or have a very convincing Scottish accent. I can’t imagine many people qualify XD

I love both of those dolls!! I gotta say I prefer the Disney Store’s for its accuracy, but they both look nice. I like the cape on the Mattell one, even if it isn’t exactly movie-accurate.
I am going to spend so much money on this movie, you have no idea.
Also, I always love those ‘artist’s concept’ drawings for theme park ideas. They’re so nice!
