Yeah, I always assumed the same thing, and Luigi and Guido welcome Lightning home along with everybody else.
As much as Guido dreamed of being of giving a race car a pit stop, his first love is still tires. McQueen was probably hard pressed to find another comparable crew, though.
Snipe: I actually brought that point up like a super long time ago. We kind of came up with the same explanations and then the topic died.
About Guido, did anyone else love him as a bartender? Heehee.
I love that whole part from when Lightning drives backwards till when Mater blinds Chick’s crew with his mirror. Speaking of that, how did Lightning get rear-view mirrors? Because he obviously didn’t have them before.
Yeah, I liked that. Especially the animation, like when Guido slides the drinks across the counter.
Maybe he got them installed during the part where he gets his tires and everything right before the cruisin’ scene? I don’t know, maybe they had them in supply at one of those closed stores lining Radiator Springs. Or maybe Sarge’s place.
Oh! I think those are emergency breaks or something, actually. I’m not totally sure why they were up, though… Maybe it was meant to imply how he steadied himself into backwards so quickly?
Yeah, me too! I was like, “Woah, Guido has skills.”
Maybe, that’s what I was kind of thinking. Cause I know Mater said that if Lightning wanted, they would get him some and teach him. I thought that was the most probable time also.
I never thought about that, but then how would he see behind himself so easily?
Hey, I think I just found something… in the scene after the Porta Corsa race when Mater is trying to get Lightning’s attention but Lightning can’t see over the other cars, there’s a pinkish car in front of Mater to the left side of the screen. Does that car’s logo look like Zurg’s signature “Z”?
I just wanted to share that one thing I noticed and liked in Cars 2 was that Lightning’s personality didn’t completely flip-flop. He’s not a jerk or self-conceited anymore, of course, but he still has that air of being extremely confident, maybe a little selfish, and is still him.
