Central Cars 2 Discussion (Part 2)

e-j-e: February 20th, I think.

Cars 2 was just average. I think the critics must of overreacted and gave it bad reviews since they didn’t expect Pixar to make a film like this.

And not to mention now Toy Story 3 was. With how well that went with the critics, they mkae of expected more from this film.

I remember reading The Academy Of Motion Pictures and Arts saying that Toy Story 3 had a chance to win even though 4 years in a row is alot, but that Cars 2 had no chance of winning best animated feature. And that was last year long before it came out.

Wonder if Cars 2 will win anything.

I don’t think so.

Anyway, I’m still rooting for La Luna as Pixar’s win this year.

Yeah, Cars 2 is far from one of Pixar’s best but I don’t think it’s worth people hating on it like some do. I know the only reason why I like it so much and that it’s one of my favorites is because it’s Cars.

I wish, but highly doubt it. :frowning:

I doubt Cars 2 will win anything.

If it dosen’t wina nything, it will be a tough year for Pixar.

I don’t think Cars 2 will win anything. But, La Luna could.

You share my thoughts.

Yeah, same here. Though at the same time that’s part of what I didn’t like about it… it just didn’t seem to live up to the first film and everything I love about the Cars world. :unamused:

^^^ This is true for me too.

I was downloading Cars 2 on iTunes and decided to watch the preview. That’s the most deceiving trailer I’ve seen! Half of the dialogue and scenes shown weren’t even in the movie. There was even a supposed conversation where Finn asks Lightning for help. I’m like “What?” I hate when trailers do that.

Pixar do that with their trailers though, don’t they? Or at least, with the teaser trailers, where they show footage that isn’t in the film, or even related to the film sometimes.

Yes they do^^. The ones I remember most vividly are The Incredibles and Monsters Inc.

Yeah, same with the Ratatouille teaser aswell when Remy and Emile are having a conversation in the sewer.

I know in the Increibles one Bob was trying to put on a belt but was too fat.

SallyMcQueen: This is late, but I’m glad you agree with me on the confusion with the lemons’ plot. I was actually quite embarrassed to admit it, I felt the same way! But believe me, there are still parts I don’t get either. :stuck_out_tongue: For a kids movie, it was too complicated if you ask me.

Yes, yes, yes! Sometimes I wish it didn’t exist, that way I could be happier with just dreaming up what happened 5 years later, rather than that.

Wait…but I thought that did happen in the film??

No, He didn’t. He didn’t even wear a belt.
