Hmmm, I didn’t notice that! Guess I should go watch the film again! 
I always hate that with trailers. They show fottage that isn’t shown in the movie itself.
I guess they may not have to much footage done yet.
Or they took those scenes out to cut down on the running time.
Yes, they do that because either they don’t have enough footage yet, or the footage being put in gets changed later on. In the case of the teasers though, most of the full scenes we see are either tests, or, in the case of [i:3ek0llw7]The Incredibles[/i:3ek0llw7] and possibly a number of others, I think the footage is actually made [i:3ek0llw7]specifically for[/i:3ek0llw7] the teaser. Also, I remember Andrew Stanton talking about this stuff in the [i:3ek0llw7]Finding Nemo[/i:3ek0llw7] commentary… he was saying how it’s really hard for the publicity people to pull together good shots early on without giving away the story, while still appeassing us fans by giving us something that’ll get us interested and excited for the movie as early as we’d like. Even at this stage in the process the film is still very much in the making, so a lot of things may change between when the first preview is made and when the movie is finally released.

Exactly. It put a lot of holes in the theories for what happened after the first film. I’m still partially okay they made it though, we wouldn’t have the awesome Finn McMissile if they hadn’t!
Speaking of that though, have any of you heard how the spy plot started out? It was supposed to be a background movie for an old scene in [i:3ek0llw7]Cars[/i:3ek0llw7] where Light and Sal went to the movies, and they came up with this whole plot for what they’d be watching and that’s how the character of Finn McMissile was born, and I guess the whole story for [i:3ek0llw7]Cars 2[/i:3ek0llw7].
Or at least I think that’s how it happened… I only heard it once, so I may be mistaken on some of that.

^I’ve always figured it’s in the cab… you know, in real life the people driving are like the “mind” of the car, so I think the car’s brain replaces where all the controls and seats and everything would be. 
That’s what I’ve always thought.
What the car’s radio?
Lovely! Can’t really argue with those nominees, and I imagine it will be the same, if not very similar, story for the Oscars

I do, however, see Rango or Tintin winning.

I’m kind of disappointed that Cars 2 was nominated. Just kind of thought it was average and not great enough to be nominated.

I don’t know. We don’t really know if they have radios, per say. I mean, DJ had music but he had like speakers and a CD player and stuff in the back. 
Woah! I didn’t even see that post! Cars 2 got nominated?! That’s awesome. I haven’t seen any of the other films but I don’t think Cars 2 is going to win. 
I think it’s good that Cars 2 got nominated, but it definitely won’t win.
I don’t expect Cars 2 to win either with all of the hate it has gotten this year. I think the reason for that is because it varied so different from the first Cars movie, and it wasn’t what people were expecting to see.
I read somewhere John is in denial of the bad reviews.
Cars was already a movie that people were iffy about. So, Cars 2 was just even more fuel to the fire, I guess.
From what I know, he acknowledges them but doesn’t really care for them.
