Didn’t John say he got the idea when he went to the U.K. or something?
He said he got the idea when he was promoting the first film.
I think that it deserves more than a Direct-To-Video, but it still isn’t great.
I think the film could of been better if it wasn’t the rushed effort that it was.
I agree. I also think Lasseter made a mistake by taking over directing duties imo.
And like I said before, I read he is pretending the bad reviews don’t exist. That not a good thing.
To me, everything that he talked about before seemed to change after this release^.
I agree. I know the Lasseter had the idea about doing the sequel, but I think Brad Lewis should of directed it as planned. That makes me to believe Cars 2 might of been the reason why he left Pixar. There must of been some inter-studio turnmoil during production.
Do you think he hated John’s ideas?
I don’t know. Maybe he might of.
I can’t think of another reason to why he left Pixar.
I was kind of surprised how Pixar got Brad Lewis to do audio commentary with JL for Cars 2.
They probably did it before he left^^.
That could be true.

Exactly. I always had the theory that a 2012 release would bring a maybe completely different (and much better) [i:333ycwy1]Cars 2[/i:333ycwy1].

It’s not a good thing for sure. To be frank, that’s just being a "sore loser".

I can totally see that being the reason. It must of been something big though, for him to just leave.
Did Holley really mean she was [spoil]Mater’s girlfriend at the end[/spoil]? She didn’t seem to love him until the last 5 minutes of the film.
I would of been all in for Cars 2 being released this year as originally planned. Even if that meant no Pixar film for last year of course.
I think so, But, they really didn’t explain that (her change of attitude) terribly well.
They never expalined when she fell in love with him. My best guess is in Big Ben.
You’re right they didn’t show when, and I would assume Big Ben also.
