Oh they weren’t biased at all!
I love John Lasseter videos because he always makes his movies sound like the greatest things ever. Good thing they usually are, or we’d have an ego issue.
Oh I know! He does do that a lot doesn’t he? You’re right though, he’s got the bragging rights so he’s allowed!

“Same old same old, what about you?”[/spoil]
I think I died.
[spoil]The date scene was gorgeous. Did you see the background??? Amazing colors![/spoil]
Now that’s what I’m talking about! Up until now, I’ve been wanting to see the movie, it looks interesting you know. I like Cars and Pixar. But after watching that, and hearing commentary from Wilson and Lasseter, I’m really, really excited for the movie. I finally felt a connection with the movie.
Virginia: Well, of course it’s biased! I mean, he is the co-director of the film, he’s excited that’s all! If he was all boring about it, who’d care? Why would I want to see a movie that even the creator doesn’t care about?
I know what you mean. I still haven’t forgotten the way he said “Fan-TASTIC!” in that last interview. Not making fun of him of course, but that’s just a funny little trait about him that’s fun to notice. I like it though cause to me it shows that he has a real strong, almost childlike passion for making his films, which I always appreciated.
The part I found most interesting was on those two hench-cars being based off of a Gremlin and Pacer, which apparently were cars of the time that were unpopular and supposedly come back to seek revenge. I don’t know my car history as well as John, but I guess I can see the humor in that.
I know,I was rofl!!
And yeah that was breathtaking…
Flik-E, you’re absolutely right. The Acer and Gremlin were notorious lemon cars. I’m just waiting for a Pinto (which was famous for being particularly explosive) and an Edsel (which had a grille reminscent of a female’s privates) cameo in some way.
I really love how Lasseter’s (and the gearheaded Pixarians’) love for car culture comes across in the first and (hopefully) second movie with all these little references for car afficianados (like me and maybe a few other members here) to pick up on.
I’m more interested in the James Bond references.
I noticed that the movie is like a giant use of symbolism. I love it.
When Lasseter (or another) states:
“The cars that didn’t really get a break.”
“They’re back and they mean business.”
Pixar didn’t really like how Cars’ reviews were. It’s the lemon of all of their movies. So what a perfect storyline.
I got really happy when I found out Joe Mantenga was gonna be is this movie!!
I had to quote this. These were like my exact thoughts after watching it too.
[size=200]BREAKING: New Brazilian Poster (Hi-Res)!!![/size]
From Planeta Disney comes the new poster for Cars 2!!! Yeah!!!
Go Carla Veloso.
professor z’s gang of minions include four types of cars: gremlins, pacers, zaporzhets and yugo cars.
If I remmeber correctly, this has already been posted. Or I might be confusing it with something else.
None the less, it’s an amazing poster. I really like how they incorporated Soccer into it, perfect for Brasil.
Go Cars, Go Soccer
No, the one that was posted featured McQueen and Carla instead of Mater and Carla.
Dressed like that, Mater looks just like Ronaldinho.
^ That’s an awesome trailer!
Japan always gets the epic trailers…
