That’s what it appears. And after all, we know her screen time is limited.
Awww, that would be so sweet! That sig kind of reminds me of The Princess and the Frog.
The dinner scene in TPATF?
Yes! Just the table and lightning reminds me of it.
^,yeap, today in the early morning, but I just listened to it, not watched, I don’t wanna see new footage until June 24
Yesterday I heard once again the music samples from Amazon and now I’m even more excited to listen to them completely than before, the mystery tunes in some of the tracks are just AWESOME, I’m liking it better than some of Giacchino’s past scores, which are terrific,
Interesting, that’s the first time I’ve seen and heard Brad Lewis.
Same here. Or maybe I saw him in a Ratatouille featurette.
Yeah, I loved that scene! It was so adorable! Especially his butterfly bow tie.
One million dollar challenge: Let’s make this a 100-page topic before the movie is released? Can do or cant do?
we will exceed that mark for sure my friend
Betting too low.
11 pages in about 22 days? That sounds plausable. The closer we get to it the more we’ll post anyways.
Well, I think it’s a 99% certainty. It’s the ‘Moore’s Law’ of fan forums, expect the rate of posts to increase as the studio releases more videos and images closer to the release date.
It’s great to see all the old Cars ads. Brings back nostalgic memories, even though I haven’t seen most of 'em!
Wow, that last featurette ‘Spy Cars Like Us’ looks fantastic. I really love the gadgets, the spy-lingo, the danger, the excitement. Why they didn’t put those scenes in the trailer is beyond me, since it’s been approved for public domain anyway.
At least the featurettes are coming. I was beginning to wonder if they had run out of character turntable videos. Is ChromeLeaks still up and running? I wonder whether we will get any further updates from there, or was it just a one-off viral stunt?
^I loved that clip! I laughed at Mater’s comment to Zen Master And I’m glad to see Luigi and Guido haven’t lost their love for Ferraris! Loving the background music too! Also, looking at Zen Master’s release information, I’m guessing the Japan Race Party is held in Tokyo Museum?
I can see how Mater’s innocence and naivety can drive a wedge in his friendship with Lightning, especially with Lightning under pressure to have ‘sophisticated’ company in the presence of his world-famous peers.
The scene and setting also reminds me of those elaborate gala dinners or charity events that James Bond would attend, where he would meet the evil mastermind or his love interest. I have a very strong suspicion that if Mater doesn’t meet McMissile at the airport first, that he would encounter him in this scene. Of course, I’m just speculating, and if anyone knows the actual order, please don’t tell me or anyone else; I like to play guessing games.
OK, this is kind of late but I loved that old ad. “Are we still talking about the scenary?” I think if we all wish really hard then maybe McQueen will propose! I’m afraid I’m not going to watch the footage up there because I’m trying to restrain myself a little bit so I can’t comment on that, sorry! Unless it’s any footage that involves Sally and McQueen then of course I will watch it. Can you tell I’m getting excited by the number of smilies I use in my post? ONLY 20 MORE DAYS!!! Turns out it comes out on the first official day of my summer vacation. Perfect <3
“Ferraris and tires?”
Guido & Luigi are amazing
I’ve been waiting five years for the culmination of Lightning and Sally’s relationship! Although I reckon that the film will focus more on Mater and Lightning’s friendship, I hope there will be some Lightninally scenes in there!
Just pash already, will ya?
So far, most of the recent featurettes are giving me hope of Lasseter’s promise of a “serious spy movie”. I know I keep banging on about this, but Mr Hawaiian Man has also stressed this several times throughout his many interviews (I just read an Empire magazine in a bookstore which I also took pictures of), so I have the same right to keep ‘calling him out’ on it.
It’s also great to hear Mikey G’s score, which several sources have quoted him as saying is simlilar to British surf music. Very classy.
I promised I would post the pictures I took of the storybook and my thoughts on the opening scene. Hopefully I can get it done this weekend if any of you are interested.
