Based on the graduating years of his parents though….I’m guessing he was born after that(after 1983 at least…who knows for sure, but I doubt a Pixar/Disney movie would have characters having kids before they graduate college).
It’s just that I always felt like Randall, Mike, and Sulley were born in the mid-70’s based on what their ages apparently are in MI(which came out in 2001 as we know). So I always felt like if they were 25 when MI came out in 2001, that they were born around 1976 or so. I guess they are changing it sort of for MU though, to make it more like they’re actually in college around today’s time(2013) instead of in the 90’s.
And of course, Johnny is most likely the same age as them or somewhere close to that.
Not to completely change the subject but I gotta say I’m getting a kick out of seeing all this fake college stuff for the movie. The college commercials, the college webpage, and that one MU student’s “grumblr” are all a lot of fun to look at for me.
I’m going off on April 22 to catch an advanced screening (woah! About two months before the release!) I’m taking work off early for it. Hopefully, it won’t be crowded and I can get seats for my two friends.
I may not know anything of the film’s actual quality in storytelling and execution, but the suspense is killing me and I have to come to peace with whatever the quality will be.
But hey, I took that risk when I ran off to a Wreck It Ralph advanced screening. And that turned out turbotastic.
So scare me. Give it your best shot.
Oh, and hopefully, they will screen the Umbrella shot while they’re at it.
I might post thoughts later, but of course, I promise no spoilers.
It’s interesting that Carrie and those other girls with her who all look the same(aside from different colouring) aren’t related to each other like some people thought…since they all have different last names(although I guess they could be cousins but I guess it’s unlikely that they’re related). I wonder if they’re suppose to represent something like the girls in “Mean Girls”…and those kind of girls who all try to look the same.
I’m a little bit more exited for this then I was, still keeping an eye on it though. I’m more exited for it then I was Cars 2 but not as much as Brave.
omg. This movie. [spoil]I know that I’m going to get super sad. As we can tell, Randall starts out being really nice and sweet. But what happened to him to make him be as bitter and lonely as he is in Monsters, Inc?[/spoil]
