Just post your thoughts on Pixar’s changing formats. Here are mine.
Pixar is always concerned about getting the best image and sound quality. Even back when they were using video tapes, they HAD to get the best. And of course, A Bug’s Life was the first ever “direct from the digital source” film to be transfered to DVD. Their DVDs are the best ever (with the exception of Cars and Ratatouille) and their Blu-rays even MORE so. However, it is annoying to have to keep re-buying all their old movies in a better format.
I’m too young to have a history with VHS tapes and I never got into buying DVDs. I had around 60 DVDs when I started selling them and now I have only about ten left.
I’ started buying Blu-ray Discs in March 2009 and I’ve got 13 releases so far, including WALL-E, Ratatouille and Pixar Shorts.
I’m wanting to get a Blu-ray player for Up. I also want to get every Pixar blu-ray that’s out or coming out. What is there besides Bug’s Life, Wall•E, and Ratatouille?
I want the blu-ray for Cars. But no! My mom says blu-ray is too expensive! I want the commentary, the fifth deleted scene, and more behind the scenes. Why did they take that away from the DVD!?
