Charlotte's Web

How many of you remember reading this

wonderful little book in the “old days”? I know I do…

What do you all think of the new film

that will be coming out this week (December 15): Charlotte’s Web? I am extremely

excited about it for two reasons:

1. They might show a new

Ratatouille trailer with it! Now, this is only a guess, but I estimate that this may

happen because, a) Templeton, who just happens to be a rat, is voiced by Steve Buscemi, who also happens to be

the voice of Randall Boggs, and b) it is coming out around Christmas, which is close to the New Year of 2007,

which is when Ratatouille will come out. Yes, I speculate too much… (snigger) :stuck_out_tongue:

2. This was one of my favorite books as a kid, so I am eager to see what

they will do with it on the big screen.

Your thoughts?

Mitch: When you see the movie please tell us if it did have a new Ratatouille

trailer or if it did not. Thanks!

JV - Haha – will do! Are you going to see it, as well? No wait,

let me guess: You will only go to view it if there is a new Ratatouille trailer

shown before it, right?

Mitch: I will see it when it comes out on DVD, But if there’s a new Ratatouille trailer in it

then I talk my family to go see it.

JV - Haha – got it.

I sincerely hope that is it not

too early for a new Ratatouille trailer, but it has been quite a long time since the

first one was shown, which was in June of this year (along with Cars). So, in total,

it has been approxiamately six months and we haven’t seen hide nor hair of a new trailer…yet. I really hope

that Charlotte’s Web will have a little Pixar surprise for us…

6 months that?s unbelievable! there has to

be a new Ratatouille trailer sooner or later.

JV - Exactly. It’s about time they released a new trailer, if I

may so so myself.

Well, I might see it…The fact that Steve is in it usually means that I go and see a

film with my mum, but in this case, it’s really hard to appreciate him- he’s only doing a voice, rather than

actually appearing on the screen, and although I’d be satisfied with that, it’s a bit difficult for my mum,

(also a Steve fan ) because she’s deaf and wouldn’t be able to hear him, unfortunately. Dragging along

friends isn’t really an option either- they don’t like watching ‘kid’s films’. So, I probably won’t see it

in the cinema, but I really do want to at some point, so Mitch, report back to us once you have seen it!

lizardgirl - Heh – well, Mr. Buscemi only did a voice in Monsters

Inc. (Randall Boggs), and didn’t appear on screen in person, either. However, that is Pixar, so I

guess it is different in that sense, eh?

Ohh…that’s a shame. I’m sorry that your mom is deaf –

I’m sure that that is a pain. It’s cool that she is a “Steve fan”, though. Heheh.

I’m not

sure if Charlotte’s Web would classify as a kid’s film, as the book itself seemed

appealing enough for all ages. Perhaps your friends would like to see it solely for the computer

animation/special effects? If not, then…well, perhaps you could see it by yourself? Of course, that isn’t as

much fun as seeing it with a partner…

In any case, I will give you all the report after I see it on

the fifteenth or sixteenth.

We will probly see a new trailer in front of Charlotte’s Web and then Meet the Robinson’s.

That’ll be 3 total trailers just like The Incredibles. We’ll probly get a feel for the plot and meet alot of

characters in it too.

Also look for TV spots beginning at the SuperBowl. =)

Dash - Oh yes – how could I

forget the Superbowl commercials? I only watch the

Superbowl for the commercials, so it will be perfect…

this

movie looks so charming. Excellent too. I bet it will be a mighty cherrished film. Hope to watch it soon.

Dash and Mitch: Yeah I also said that to watch out for a TV spot in SuperBowl

here. I can’t wait!

…there’s a new Charlotte’s Web

film?

Blasphemy!

…sorry, I was raised on the old animated version. And I didn’t like the story

all that much, truthfully, but I’m fairly certain there’s not a version in the world that could take its place.

It’s far too ingrained in my childhood. Kind of like Tim Horton’s donuts and

Rainbow Brite.

DWH - Ha – yeah, I used to watch that little animated

version of the film all the time in my younger days. Whoever did the voice of Templeton in that movie was

hilarious…

I see what you mean there, though. Once a particular film/song/anonymous object is

“stappled” into your mind, so to speak, it is hard to shake your brain of it once a

“replacement” comes along.

I really loved the animated movie of

it. And also, the book was absolutely incredible too.

Mitch- Hmm…I guess it

isn’t entirely a kid’s film…Might have to ring up some friends tonight and arrange an outing to the cinema

sometime!

The Star Swordsman - The

book is wonderful. I still own the hardcover version of it. I used to read it constantly…

lizardgirl - Haha – yeah, see what you can do! Like I said, perhaps they

will show a new Ratatouille trailer?

I used to hate the animated

movie too, but now, I love it! I don’t watch it anymore though.

Mitch: Did the movie show

a new Ratatouille trailer? by the way a new theater opened in my town today.
