I wonder if Chick was always a jerk, or
if he became a jerk after so many years of always losing to the King. It would be difficult to come so close to
winning so many times…not that that’s an excuse.
I also wonder if Chick has a past…

If there is a Cars 2, I would LOVE some backstory on Chick. There has to be a
reason why he is the way he is.
That’s why I say they should do a
prequel…
There are so many unanswered questions with Chick Hicks and I hope that if they do a sequel (or a prequel)
we will get some answers! He is just such an intriguing character and Michael Keaton is GREAT. There is just so
much potential there…I’d actually like to see a sequel that focuses specifically on Chick. (with all the
other characters of course)
BTW, LuigiandGuidofanatic4life, there have been several fanfics about Chick’s
past (and my fanfic has some of my interpretation of his past in there too) Check out fanfiction.net - Chick has

Chick. but I dont think i’m supposed to. After he did what he did to King, I really really didnt like him. I
dont think he’s evil though, or anything. He’s just a real mean jerk.
Yes, he’s a jerk. The question is, did something make him
that way…or is he just a jerk? I still hold out hope for him…after all, Lightning started out as a jerk too.
(of course, not as much as a jerk as Chick…)

It is hard to summarize without giving everything away. It is a retelling of my last story with an alternative ending. In my fist story, Chick travels to Radiator Springs with thoughts of revenge against the car he feels ruined his life. He reaches a crossroads in which he has to make a choice. The choice he makes has catastrophic results for himself, an innocent car, and the town.
In the other version of the story, he chooses differently.
I know this is very vague, but I don’t want to give away too much. I will post a link to both stories later if you are
interested.
It sounds very, very intresting. A lot of Cars fans will be reading your creative ideas really soon.

Speaking of Chick, what are your guy’s opinion on the man who voiced him, Michael Keaton?
I don’t know too much about him. I did see him in an interview about Cars. I guess I like him enough. Though he was not my favorite Batman. 
The only thing I remember from the interview is that he said he really wished he could live in Radiator Springs. Guess he can’t be too bad a guy.
He did a great job voicing Chick.
I have never heard of him either, but I don’t think there was a better person to play Chick. He really sounded like one of those sports jerks who wanted winning more than anything else. Great work to the man.
I liked Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice. He did a great job with Chick’s voice too.
