Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I saw it yesterday and liked it a lot. When is the video game supposed to be out? Is it supposed to be good?

I saw the movie two days ago with my family. It was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.

I actually came into the theatres less excited than I was a year or two ago - mostly because of the mediocre reviews that the movie’s been receiving. Now, I couldn’t help but feel bad for the naysayers who didn’t like the movie (but, as they say, to each his own).

No, it’s supposed to absolutely horrible. :unamused: xDDD

All of your reviews make me so excited to see it this coming weekend.

Just got back from the movie…

Simply amazing.

[spoil]The part where the water swallows up the enemies was my favorite part…For various reasons. :stuck_out_tongue:[/spoil]

I had a lot of fun making connections between the movie and Christianity, just like in the first one.

(And I was happy to see the Wall-E trailer! )

Oh Yea, that Wall-E Trailer was awesome. I liked where Wall-e and Eve were holding hands and eve crushed Wall-E hand. Which caused him to go kinda nuts because of the pain.

Amen to all of the above. The allegory of the movie rocks, and when the WALL-E trailer came on, I was pointing and telling Mom to look like a 5 year old. XD

Narnia = awesomeness! :sunglasses:
My only complaint - I wish they would’ve built up the story better in the beginning. But it is AMAZING! I love the allusions CS Lewis made when he wrote it! And I’m already looking forward to Dawn Treader! XD
The award for best character goes to - Aslan (duh)
The award for second best character goes to - Ripicheep. (He’s so cut-, uh, I mean chivalrous! )
9/10 - Bravo!

I just got back from seeing it yesterday, and all I can say about "Prince Caspian " is … WOW .

The battle sequances were so awesome, the musical score was so powerful it sometimes had my heart in my throat, and towerds the end I was on the edge of my seat.

I cried at some parts too…such as when Asterius the Minotaur died with several others at the castle storming.

Thanks for the spoiler. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve yet to see it but I’m not psyched enough to go on a weekend, much less memorial day weekend. :unamused:

I saw it, and i thought it was amazing. I loved it just as I loved the first one. the battle scenes in this was absolutely phenominal.

I thought it was good though I’m not much for action all throughout a film - seemed like the battles just wouldn’t end, but then again it was the point of the movie I suppose. I like it because it can be taken either religiously or not. I won’t go into that though. But I saw connections to my own religion, and that was cool. :sunglasses:

But geeeeez louise - Caspian annoyed me to no end. Every time he spoke I heard a line from another movie … spoiler because the line gives it away - [spoil]My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die[/spoil]. That, and he reminds me of Antonio Banderas. :unamused:

Reep was cute, of course, and I liked the dwarf Trumpkin. They certainly added a lot to this film as well as relations between characters, which is something you’d long to read in the book version but you don’t. :stuck_out_tongue:

I saw the connections too FONY. I had to sit and think after watching it to get the message. But you find Caspian annoying? I have to tell you that you happen to be the first person I ever heard say that. ALl of the gals that I know think he is one hot boy.

TSS: He’s just not my type of guy, lol! My sister has a crush on him but she even said his voice gets annoying- and that she wanted him to just shut up and look beautiful.

If I had to choose, I’d pick Edmund as a favorite/crush, though I’m not really into him. Skander Keyes really does a good portrayal of Edmund - I’d hated him in the books, even after he’d been forgiven by his siblings (because I still didn’t trust him) but only until Eustace came along did I forgive him and then hated Eustace.

Btw, this is kinda off topic, but did anyone see the commercial for Beverly Hills Chihuahua? :open_mouth: I’m going to have nightmares. I have two chihuahuas, and the last thing I’d want is for them to dance and sing like that! They’re annoying enough.

I had some kind of a crush on Susan/Anna Popplewell. She was really cute and a great actress.

I didn’t really want to join this post, because I might start writing a 9-10 page essay on the films’ and books’ greatness. And how well-casted the movies are. And how I feel about the changes made to PC movie. And how hot William Moseley is… And how I felt that Edmund stole the show (he rocks!)… And how much I LOOOOVE the [spoil]non-canon Susan/Caspian romance[/spoil]…

So instead I’ll just put this up to share:

It is a video slideshow of the LWW and PC that I made to the song from PC, “The Call” sung by Regina Spektor.

Sheila

CL: Oh my goodness, I totally love the Susan/Caspian pairing. It seemed really, really cute.

I’m glad you agree, TSS. I think you’ll like that video in my last post. Especially the end.
Sheila

Oh, I think I have seen that video before, and yes, the ending is the best.
