I thought this could be a fun thread. In the scene when all the DayCare toys joyously greet Andy’s toys, I initially believed that most of the toys (aside from the Lego mini-figures) were original Pixar designs. However, I realized that at least some of the other toys are pre-existing. Example: Here’s a link to a page describing the toy bus that appears in the trailer. It was made by Fisher Price in the 60’s

Has anyone else identified any other old toys?
I recognized the Bus from my own day care as a kid.
from that same day care, I found that green bug thing with wheels…I’ll have to fetch a picture, cant remember where it appears in the trailer, or the toys name. but I know Ive seen it before.
And of course that phone is a classic, but that kinda goes without saying, I think we’ve all played with it at some point or another as a kid.
No, he’s green with transparrent parts. I think he even sparks a bit from the inside when you roll him.
Can you find a picture?
My mom says she had this toy when she was a kid. Can anyone find pictures of the real life version?
I was wondering if the Crunch/Chunk or whatever his name is was real. The broad-shouldered oragnish-yellow guy, he seems familiar, but I can’t remember what he’s from, if anything.
I’m rigorously searching for the robot’s origin and the green bug with wheels (which I can’t even locate in the trailer), but along the way I found this:

This helicopter appears in the Daycare as well. That’s all I’ve been able to come across so far.
Yeah, I cant even find the spot in the trailer where I saw that thing I mentioned…it might have been in a trailer from another region, you know how they sprinkle different shots in there on occasion.
I know the chatter phone is a real toy. I think we all know. I thought I should bring it up since it wasn’t mentioned here.
There were a few variations when I looked it up but here’s the one from the movie.
When I first saw the school bus and the little people in the trailer, I literally squealed with delight. My grandmother ran a daycare center out of her home, and she also babysat us grandkids. She had that very bus, and a ton of the little people.
Now, my mom’s a daycare provider, and she’s inherited them all. There are literally little people scattered all over our living room floor as I type this. It’s really cool to see them in the movie.
Small mailman, While I still cant for the life of me remember where I saw him originally, I finally found the bug again in this new poster.

He’s the one on the left, next to ken.
We first saw the Bookworm on this poster:

Ah ha, that must have been it. so do we know if thats a real toy or not? I feel like I remember my daycare having one when I was really young, but Im not sure.
Does Stretch count? Based on her description, I think Stretch seems to be based off an 80’s stretchy/sticky octopus toy: Wacky Wall Walkers.
I dont count it. She’s based more on a whole genre of toys, not a specific one. Unless someone can prove otherwise. Shes just one of the many sticky gooey toys made popular in the 50s.
those little people toys with the bus remind me of an episode of robot chicken :
LOL Robot Chicken. I’m surprised they haven’t done a Toy Story parody yet
Lotso’s truck was driven by a Little Person, I wonder if they made that in real life.
A version of the Monkey lives in our closet. It’s a very annoying battery-powered thing LOL
