I believe it’s out in Sydney. I’m thinking of whether to watch this or District 9 this week… but anyhoo, I eventually want to see this! I’ve read tons of great reviews from the local newspapers (Empire Oz gave it a 5/5 star rating!), with only one 3 1/2 star exception (but that same column gave lousy marks to Beautiful Kate, so heck with that!).
It’s finally opening here in Germany this week, so I am really looking forward to seeing it. 
I think I’ll give the 3D version a shot as the only local theater that’s showing the original language version won’t do 2D screenings if a movie is available in 3D.
I absolutely love this film! I’ll have to watch them both back-to-back on DVD to see which one I prefer over the other, but right now, it’s tied with Up as my favorite movie of the year, which is also to say that they’re both in my all-time Top 10. For those of you who haven’t seen Coraline yet, definitely check it out when you get the chance!
Darn, there are so many new releases scheduled for this week that Coraline has been pushed back by all local theaters. Hopefully next week…
